We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you battle this severe case of bronchitis. Your suffering has not gone unnoticed, and we stand with you, asking for the Great Physician to touch you with His healing hand. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over your life, believing that God is able to restore your health completely.
We also take comfort in James 5:14-15, which says, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." While we are not physically with you to anoint you with oil, we join our faith with yours, praying that the Lord will raise you up from this sickness and grant you strength and endurance.
Father God, we ask You to stretch out Your healing hand upon our dear brother/sister. We pray that You would ease the discomfort in their throat and chest, clear the congestion, and bring down the inflammation. Strengthen their body to fight off this infection, and let the antibiotics work effectively to restore their health. We ask that You would give them peace in the midst of this trial, replacing fear with faith and worry with trust in Your perfect will. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also encourage you to continue seeking medical help and following the advice of your doctors, for they are instruments in God’s hands to bring about your healing. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lastly, we want to remind you that your faith in God is not in vain. Even when healing seems slow, know that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and do not grow weary in this season. We pray that you will soon experience a full and complete recovery, and that your testimony will bring glory to God. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
