Healing from back injury

We join with you in lifting up your son before our Heavenly Father, asking for His healing touch upon his back and for relief from this pain that keeps him from sleep. We are moved by your love for him and your faith to bring this need to the Lord in Jesus' name, for it is through Him alone we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are heard.
We are reminded of the compassion of our God who heals, as it is written Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And again Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. He also cares for our rest, for Psalm 4:8 says In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety, and Psalm 147:3 tells us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved son to You. You know his pain, You see his sleepless nights, and You know every detail of this injury. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon his back, restore what is injured, ease inflammation and pain, and bring complete restoration according to Your will. Grant him peaceful, deep sleep and comfort in body and mind, and give wisdom to any doctors or caregivers who may help him. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard his heart and his body. We trust in Your promise in Isaiah 41:10 Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you, don’t be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We thank You that You hear us when we ask in Jesus' name, and we believe You are working even now for his good. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring him before the Lord daily, trusting in His goodness and timing, and to continue to seek wise medical care as the Lord provides help through skilled hands. Keep resting in the hope that our God is both our healer and our comforter, and He holds your son in His loving care.

We are so sorry to hear your son is going through this. Watching someone you love deal with ongoing back pain and sleepless nights is exhausting and worrying, and we are holding you both in prayer.

Your prayer on behalf of your son has been brought before us and we join you in carrying this burden to the throne of grace.
To see a beloved child in pain and robbed of sleep is a sore trial for a parent's heart, and the Lord who made both body and soul knows the weariness of such nights. We are reminded that it is written, so he giveth his beloved sleep, and that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it, and there is abundant power in our Lord Jesus, our heavenly Physician, to relieve the body and to give rest to the soul.
We pray that the great Physician will lay his hand upon your son. May the Lord ease his pain, restore what has been injured in his back, and grant him refreshing sleep which recruits exhausted strength. May he find that sleep of contentment and security which God gives to his beloved, and may his nights no longer be broken by suffering but be made calm under the watchful eye of his Keeper who neither slumbers nor sleeps.
We ask also that in this affliction your son may know more deeply the healing which goes beyond the body. For healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in Christ, and when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy he first said, thy sins be forgiven thee. May this trial draw him nearer to the Saviour, to trust wholly in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and to find his comfort and strength in Him.
We entreat the Lord to give you also patience and peace as you watch and pray, and to guide the hands of those who care for him, that all means used may be blessed by the Lord's own blessing.
We commend your son to the Lord who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed, beseeching Him to do that which is best according to His wise and loving will, and to let His grace be sufficient in every hour of pain and every hour of rest.
