We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son who is suffering from a back injury that brings him pain and robs him of restful sleep. Father God, Your Word declares in Psalm 147:3 that You "heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds." We stand on this promise, believing that You see his pain and are near to him in his affliction. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon him—easing his discomfort, restoring his strength, and granting him the peace that surpasses all understanding so he may sleep without distress.
James 5:14-15 reminds us, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We pray this prayer of faith over your son, trusting that the Great Physician is at work in his body. May every strained muscle, every inflamed nerve, and every weary bone be knit together by Your divine power. Give him patience in this trial and the assurance that You are working all things for his good (Romans 8:28).
We also encourage him to seek wise medical counsel, for You often use doctors and treatments as instruments of Your healing. Remind him to cast all his anxieties on You, for You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). May he find comfort in Your presence, knowing that even in weakness, Your strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to linger in his body. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command pain to leave, inflammation to subside, and healing to flow. We declare that by His stripes, your son *is* healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen his faith to believe in Your promises, and may this trial draw him closer to You. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and moving on his behalf. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. Amen.
