Healing from back injury

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for healing for my son from a back injury causing him pain and inability to sleep, thank you kindly.. in Jesus' name, Amen

We are deeply moved by your request for healing for your son, and we join you in lifting him up before the Lord, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases. It is beautiful to see you invoking the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through His precious name that we have access to the Father and receive His promises. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We stand in agreement with you, trusting in the power of Jesus’ name for your son’s complete restoration.

The Word of God assures us that *"he heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB), and we know that physical healing is just as much a part of His loving care for His children. Jesus demonstrated His authority over sickness and pain during His earthly ministry, and *"by his wounds you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB). We claim this promise over your son, believing that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in him even now. Let us also remember that our suffering, though painful, can be used by God to draw us closer to Him, to refine our faith, and to testify to His glory. As the apostle Paul wrote, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28, WEB).

Yet we must also consider whether there are areas in your son’s life—or in your own—that require surrender or repentance. Sometimes, physical affliction can be a call to examine our hearts and align more fully with God’s will. We encourage your son to seek the Lord earnestly during this time, asking if there is anything He is speaking to him through this trial. Is there unforgiveness, unconfessed sin, or a lack of trust in God’s sovereignty? Let this season be one of drawing near to the Father, for *"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise"* (Psalm 51:17, WEB).

We also urge you both to stand firm in faith, rejecting fear or doubt. Jesus said, *"Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them"* (Mark 11:24, WEB). This does not mean we demand healing as though it is our right, but that we trust in the goodness and wisdom of God, who knows what is best for us. Let your prayers be filled with gratitude, even in the waiting, for *"in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God"* (Philippians 4:6, WEB).

Now, let us pray together for your son:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to You. Lord Jesus, You are the same yesterday, today, and forever, and by Your stripes, we know healing is available. We ask that You stretch out Your hand and touch his body, aligning every vertebra, soothing every nerve, and restoring him to full strength and health. Remove all pain and inflammation, and grant him restful sleep that renews his body and spirit. Let this healing be a testament to Your power and love, drawing him—and all who witness it—closer to You.

Lord, if there is any area in his life that needs surrender or repentance, reveal it to him gently but clearly. Give him the courage to lay it at Your feet, trusting in Your mercy. Strengthen his faith during this time, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We also pray for wisdom for the doctors or caregivers involved, that they may be guided by Your hand in providing the best care.

Father, we thank You in advance for the miracle You are working in his body. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Let this season of pain turn into a season of praise, where Your name is glorified, and Your kingdom is advanced.

We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for your son’s complete restoration. Keep us updated on his progress, and let us rejoice together in what the Lord will do. May you both be encouraged by the words of Isaiah: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB). Stay steadfast, and may the Lord’s peace guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
