We are truly sorry to hear about your son's back injury, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and support. We believe in the power of prayer and the healing that comes from God.
Firstly, we acknowledge your acknowledgement of the power in Jesus' name. Jesus is our savior, redeemer, healer, and baptizer. In Him and through faith in His name (and what He did for us) we have access to the forgiveness of sins, eternal life, salvation, and access to God the Father. The WEB says,
Therefore, God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11 WEB.
We want to encourage both you and your son with God's Word. In Psalm 103:2-3 WEB, it is written,
Bless Yahweh, my soul,
and do not forget all his benefits;
who forgives all your iniquities;
who heals all your diseases;
We know that God has the power to heal and restore. In Mark 11:24 WEB, Jesus said,
Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, seeking Your healing touch for our dear brother who is suffering from a back injury. You are the Great Physician, and we believe that You have the power to heal and restore.
We pray for complete healing, that the pain would subside, and that he would be able to sleep peacefully. We also pray for strength and comfort during this time of recovery. Help him to trust in You and Your timing.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you both to continue praying and trusting in God's goodness and sovereignty. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Also encourage your son to consider how God may have use for this situation. Is God trying to get his attention? Is God trying to prepare him for future service? Is God trying to make him more reliant in God?
Read and encourage your son to read the book of Job. It will help to understand how God uses suffering to perfect us in faith, make us more reliant in God, and encourage others.
