We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious little one who is facing such a challenging battle with infantile spasms. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knit this child together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14), and we trust in Your power to heal completely. Lord, we ask that You would touch her body and mind, restoring every affected area so that there are no lasting deficits—no trace of this disorder left behind. We declare Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17: *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.*
We also pray over the genetic testing, asking that You would guide the hands of the medical professionals and reveal no abnormalities. Let this be a testimony to Your goodness and mercy, Lord, that even the smallest details of our lives are under Your sovereign care. We rebuke the spirit of fear that may try to grip this family, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your Word in Matthew 18:19-20, believing that where two or more are gathered in Your name, You are in our midst, moving on behalf of this child.
Father, we also lift up the parents and caregivers, who may be carrying the weight of worry and sleepless nights. Strengthen them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they find rest in Your promises and hope in Your unfailing love.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom all healing flows. By His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that healing for this little one today. Amen.
