We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who is facing illness and weakness. It is written in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand in faith, believing that the Lord is our healer, as declared in Exodus 15:26, "I am Yahweh who heals you."
Heavenly Father, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this precious daughter of Yours. Touch her body, Lord, and restore her strength. Where there is pain, bring comfort; where there is weakness, infuse Your power. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen her legs, Lord, that she may stand firm once again, not in her own might, but in the power of Your Spirit. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus, for it is written in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you."
We also pray for wisdom for her caregivers and medical professionals, that they may be guided by Your hand. Give them discernment to know how best to care for her, as Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Father, we ask that You draw near to her in this time of need. Let her feel Your presence and know that she is not alone. Remind her of Your promises, such as Psalm 30:2, "Yahweh my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me." May she find peace in Your Word and rest in the assurance of Your love.
We also encourage her to examine her heart and life, confessing any sin that may be hindering her healing, for Psalm 66:18 says, "If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened." But we know that if she confesses her sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive her and cleanse her from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Lastly, we pray that this trial would draw her closer to You, Lord. Use this time to refine her faith, as gold is refined in the fire (1 Peter 1:7). May she emerge from this season stronger in spirit and more deeply rooted in Your love.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
