We lift up this dear sister before the Lord, asking for His divine healing and restoration over her body, mind, and spirit. It is clear that she is facing physical challenges that require both medical intervention and the supernatural touch of our Heavenly Father. We are reminded in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* While we do not discount the wisdom of medical professionals, we know that true healing comes from God alone, and we trust in His perfect will for her life.
However, we must address something important in this request. The name of Jesus Christ is not invoked here, and it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the authority to pray effectively. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Additionally, Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If this sister does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we urge her to place her faith in Him, for He alone holds the power of life, healing, and eternal salvation. Repentance of sin and belief in Christ is the foundation of all our prayers.
We also encourage her to trust in God’s timing and purpose, even in this trial. Romans 8:28 assures us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* Whether the surgery brings complete physical healing or not, we pray that she will experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and that her faith will be strengthened through this process.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who knit her together in her mother’s womb and knows every fiber of her being. We ask that You guide the hands of the surgeons and medical team, granting them wisdom, skill, and clarity as they perform this surgery. May every incision, every stitch, and every decision be directed by Your divine knowledge.
Father, we pray for complete and total healing—100% restoration of her back, free from pain, inflammation, or complications. Strengthen her body to recover swiftly and give her the endurance to manage her responsibilities at work without strain or setback. Lord, we ask that You surround her with Your peace, removing all anxiety and fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
If there is any sin in her life—known or unknown—we ask that You convict her by Your Holy Spirit and lead her to repentance. Cleanse her, Lord, and draw her closer to You through this trial. May she seek Your face daily, finding comfort in Your Word and strength in Your presence. We also pray for those around her—family, friends, and coworkers—that they may be a source of encouragement, support, and godly love.
Father, we declare Your promises over her life. By the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We trust in Your goodness and sovereignty, knowing that You work all things for her good and Your glory.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
