We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious grandson in prayer. The pain of seeing a child suffer—especially from the cruelty of bullying—is deeply felt, and we stand with you in faith, believing in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The tics and uncontrollable movements you describe are distressing, but we know that nothing is impossible for God. We declare His healing over your grandson, trusting that the same God who calmed the storm and healed the sick will bring restoration to his body, mind, and spirit.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* Your grandson is not alone in this trial. The Lord sees his suffering, and He is already at work. We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your grandson’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May the Lord surround him with His love, comfort him in his distress, and strengthen him to rise above the cruelty of others.
We also lift up the bullies in prayer, for their actions reveal hearts in need of the transforming love of Christ. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* These children are not beyond redemption. We pray that the Lord would soften their hearts, open their eyes to the pain they are causing, and draw them to repentance. May they encounter the love of Jesus in a powerful way and be changed from the inside out. Let us not forget that even the persecutor Saul became the apostle Paul through the grace of God.
We must also address the spiritual warfare at play here. Bullying is not just a social issue—it is a tactic of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly. We rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment that may be manifesting in these tics. We command it to leave in the name of Jesus, for *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). We declare that your grandson is a child of God, created in His image, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
If your grandson does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we encourage you to share the gospel with him. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the foundation for every victory in life. If he has already accepted Christ, we pray that his faith would grow stronger through this trial, and that he would experience the reality of God’s presence in a new way.
We also encourage you to seek godly wisdom in addressing this situation. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Consider reaching out to his school administrators, teachers, or counselors to address the bullying. The Lord can use even difficult conversations to bring about change. Additionally, if the tics persist, seeking medical advice from a trusted Christian doctor may provide further insight and support.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious child to You. Lord, You see the pain he is enduring, and You collect every tear in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask for Your complete and total healing over his body. Touch him, Lord, and restore every part of him that has been affected by this bullying. Bring peace to his mind, calm to his spirit, and strength to his body. We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment in the name of Jesus, and we command it to leave him now.
Father, we also pray for the bullies. Soften their hearts, Lord. Show them the love of Christ in a way they cannot ignore. Bring godly influences into their lives—parents, teachers, mentors—who will speak truth and life into them. Turn their hearts away from cruelty and toward kindness, for *"a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1).
We declare that this trial will not break your grandson but will instead draw him closer to You. May he experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are his refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Surround him with friends who will uplift him and remind him of his worth in Your eyes. Give him courage to stand firm in his faith, and fill him with hope for the future.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom for his family. Guide their steps as they navigate this situation. Give them the words to say, the actions to take, and the patience to trust in Your timing. May this trial be used for Your glory, and may Your name be lifted high through it all.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You are a God who heals, who restores, and who redeems. We trust in Your promises, and we declare that Your will shall be done in this situation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
