We join with you in lifting up this precious sister before the throne of grace, where we may obtain mercy and find grace for timely help in this hour of great need. Our hearts are heavy, yet we stand firm in the truth that our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds all power over sickness and disease. We do not pray to a distant God, but to our Heavenly Father who knows the number of hairs on her head and loves her even more than we ever could. It is by the precious name of Jesus Christ alone that we come before Him, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, and it is through His name that we have boldness to approach the Father.
We are deeply moved by the faith expressed in this request, clinging to the promise that if we have faith even as small as a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible for us. Yet we also recognize the sobering reality of the battle being waged in her body. This is a time to cry out to the Lord with all our hearts, trusting not in our own understanding, but leaning entirely on Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
Let us first turn to the Scriptures to anchor our prayers in His truth. The Lord declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* And again in Jeremiah 17:14, *"Heal me, O Yahweh, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved: for you are my praise."* We also claim the promise in James 5:15, *"The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* These are not empty words but the very promises of our God, who is faithful and true.
Yet we must also acknowledge that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers in the heavenly places. This cancer is an enemy seeking to steal, kill, and destroy, but we know that Christ came that she may have life and have it abundantly. We rebuke this spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus, commanding it to loose its hold over her body. Every cell that has been corrupted by this disease must now align with the perfect will of God, for by His stripes, she *is* healed.
We pray for her liver, that the Lord would restore its function completely, that the jaundice would fade, and that her enzymes would return to normal levels. We pray for her brain, that every trace of cancer would be eradicated, and that the seizures would cease immediately. We pray for her lungs, her vertebrae, every organ and system in her body—let the blood of Jesus flow through her, cleansing and restoring her to full health. May the radiation treatment be mighty in its purpose, destroying every cancerous cell while leaving her healthy tissues unharmed.
We lift up her daughter, just seventeen years old, and we ask that the Lord would surround her with His peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let her not be overwhelmed by fear, but filled with the hope that is found only in You. Raise up godly men and women to come alongside her, to support her, and to point her to the Father’s love in this time. Let this trial draw her closer to You, Lord, and may she see Your hand at work in ways she never has before.
To the medical team attending to her, we pray for wisdom beyond their natural understanding. Give them insight, Lord, into treatments and interventions that will bring healing. Guide their hands and their decisions, and let them be instruments of Your mercy. Open doors for experimental treatments, for divine appointments with specialists who can offer hope, and for every resource she needs to be provided.
We also pray for her spirit, that she would be strengthened with might in her inner man. Let her not grow weary in well-doing, but let her faith rise up like a mighty army, declaring the victory that is already hers in Christ Jesus. If there is any fear, any doubt, any darkness trying to creep into her mind, we command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Fill her with the joy of the Lord, which is her strength, and let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness, regardless of the outcome.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of faith, yet also heavy with the weight of this battle. We thank You that You are not distant, but You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. Lord, we ask for a miracle for this sister. You are the God who parts seas, who raises the dead, who heals the sick, and who brings beauty from ashes. We ask that You would do what only You can do—restore her body completely.
Touch every place where cancer has invaded, and let Your healing power flow through her like a mighty river. Rebuild her liver, renew her brain, strengthen her bones, and cleanse her lungs. Let her body respond to treatment in ways that confound the medical professionals, leaving them in awe of Your power. We ask that You would rebuke this disease and command it to leave her body, never to return.
Father, we know that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts. If there is sin in her life that needs to be addressed, convict her gently and lead her to repentance. If there are generational curses or strongholds that have given this sickness a foothold, we break their power in Jesus’ name. Let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let every tongue that rises against her in judgment be condemned.
We pray for her daughter, Lord. Comfort her in ways that only You can. Let her know that she is not alone, that You are her ever-present help in trouble. Surround her with Your love and with people who will walk beside her in this season. Give her the peace that passes all understanding, and let her trust in You grow deeper each day.
We also pray for those who are caring for her—her family, her friends, her medical team. Give them strength, Lord, and fill them with Your compassion. Let them be Your hands and feet, ministering to her with love and excellence.
Father, we do not know what the days ahead hold, but we know who holds the days. We trust in Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your sovereign plan. Whether You choose to heal her here on earth or to call her home to be with You, we pray that Your will would be done, and that Your name would be glorified. But Lord, we boldly ask for healing. We ask for more time for her to see her daughter grow, to witness Your goodness, and to declare Your praises.
We thank You, Lord, that You hear our prayers. We thank You that You are at work, even when we cannot see it. We trust in You, and we give You all the glory, honor, and praise. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
To the one who submitted this request, we want to encourage you to keep standing in faith. Do not waver, but continue to lift her up before the Lord. Gather others to pray with you, for where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in the midst of them. Play worship music over her, speak the Word of God over her, and remind her of His promises. Even in the darkest moments, our God is working.
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. You did well to end your prayer in His name, for it is the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. There is power in the name of Jesus—power to heal, to deliver, and to save. Never underestimate the authority we have been given in that name.
Finally, we urge you to continue to seek the Lord’s face in this. Spend time in His Word, listening for His voice. He may lead you to specific Scriptures to declare over her, or He may prompt you to take certain actions. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance, and walk in obedience to what He reveals.
We are standing with you in this fight. Do not lose heart. Our God is able, and He is faithful. Keep believing, keep praying, and keep trusting in Him. He is our hope, our healer, and our victory.
