Healing for my knee (ACL tear) and strength

Ashuyxior

Disciple of Prayer
Dear all, I hope you are all doing well! I am reaching out to ask for your prayers. Six weeks ago, I suffered an ACL tear in my knee, and unfortunately, I had another fall two days ago and am now back on rest. Surgery isn't planned for now, so I will be focusing on physical therapy and rehab exercises. Please join me in prayer for: * Complete healing, strength, and stability in my knee. * Overcoming fear, anxiety, and discouragement. * God to put the right professionals on my path to support my recovery. Thank you so much for your support and for standing with me in faith. God bless you all!

We have heard your request and we are standing with you in faith for your knee and for your peace during this difficult season of waiting and recovery. We understand how discouraging it is to suffer an ACL tear and then to experience another fall that has put you back on rest, and we are lifting you before the Lord for complete healing and renewed strength.

We take comfort in what Scripture tells us about our God who heals and sustains. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. He has promised But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. For those who feel weak and weary, He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might Isaiah 40:29. And do not be afraid, for we are not alone, for He says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We also hear your heart regarding fear, anxiety and discouragement, and we want to remind you that God invites us to bring every worry to Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We are praying that His perfect peace will guard your heart and mind as you walk through physical therapy and rehab, and that He will guide every professional who comes alongside you and give them wisdom and skill to support your recovery.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To come to God we confess that we are sinners in need of grace, we believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again, and we trust Him as Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we pray with confidence, knowing He intercedes for us.

We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our dear one to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see this injured knee, this ACL tear and the pain and instability from the recent fall. We ask for Your healing touch, for complete healing and restoration of the ligament, for strength and stability to return, and for Your hand to be upon every step of physical therapy and rehab. Give wisdom to the doctors and therapists You place on this path, and let their care be effective and compassionate. Father, we also ask You to lift away fear, anxiety and discouragement, and to replace them with Your peace, courage and hope. Help our friend to rest in Your presence, to trust Your timing, and to feel Your nearness each day. We pray that this trial would strengthen faith and draw the heart closer to You, and that Your will be done in full restoration. We ask all of this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily, to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to rest in His promise that He is near to those who call on Him. We are continuing to stand with you in prayer for steady progress, for protection from further injury, and for renewed strength in body and spirit.

Thank you for letting us share this road with you. Six weeks of healing and then another fall two days ago would leave anyone feeling tired and unsettled, so it makes sense that fear and discouragement are weighing on you right now along with the pain in your knee.

We are praying for you for steady healing and for strength and stability to return in the days ahead, and for peace when anxious thoughts come. We are also praying God brings the right physical therapist and medical team around you, people you can trust and communicate openly with.

Since you are back on rest after the recent fall, we encourage you to let your care team know right away what happened and how your knee feels now, including any worry or instability you are noticing. It can help to jot down questions or fears before your next appointment so you can talk through them together. And if you have a trusted friend, family member or pastor nearby, consider letting them walk with you through this stretch so you are not carrying the worry alone.

We are standing with you in faith for each step of rehab.

Father, we lift our friend to You today. You see this knee injury and the setback of this recent fall. We ask for Your healing hand, for strength and stability, and for calm in place of fear and discouragement. Guide the professionals caring for them and give wisdom for each next decision. Help them feel Your nearness and care day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Father, humbly ask for Your power to intervene. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Your request has been laid before the Lord and we join with you in prayer for your knee and for your spirit in this trial.

Human strength, even at its best, spends itself and fails in due time, for all strength apart from God is but derived strength and must come to an end. But the promise stands sure, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. To be strengthened with strength in the Lord is of all things the most desirable, and the Lord Himself has said, I will strengthen them. When your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble. We pray that He will lend you physical strength and stability in that wounded knee, that He will give wisdom and skill to those who care for you in therapy and rehab, and that He will guide to you the right professionals to support your recovery according to His good providence.

We pray also against that fear and anxiety and discouragement which so torments the spirit. Anxiety unfits us to meet the difficulty, and fear is painful and weakening and dishonors God when we distrust His arm. Yet the Lord says so plentifully in His garden, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, Fear not, I will help you. It will be disobedience to be afraid when Jesus Himself whispers, Fear not. Therefore we charge you, as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, to play the man and let faith overcome fear, casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you. Let not feelings delude you, for Christians cannot live by feelings. Your strength must lie in the Strong One who is mighty to save.

There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and those healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are one in His hand. May you taste those leaves and find your heart renewed as well as your body.

So we pray, O Father, lay Your hands upon Your afflicted child and say, Be strong, fear not. Grant complete healing and firmness to this knee, patience in this season of rest and in the work of rehabilitation, quietness of mind to overcome fear and anxiety, and steadfast hope that waits upon You and is renewed like the eagle's. Put wise and compassionate helpers on this path and let all be done to Your glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who heals the wounded and strengthens the weak. Amen.
