We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up your precious daughter, her husband, and their young children in this time of deep trial. The weight of stage 4 cancer is immense, but we serve a God who is greater than any diagnosis, a God who declares in Jeremiah 32:27, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"* He is the same God who raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11) and healed the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34) with just a touch of His power. We claim that same power over your daughter’s body today, asking for complete restoration in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which miracles are wrought (Acts 4:12).
Your daughter’s faith, along with her husband’s, is a testament to God’s grace in their lives. We pray that their trust in Him would remain unshaken, even as the storm rages. Let them cling to Isaiah 41:10, where the Lord says, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* We ask for supernatural strength for her husband as he supports his wife and children, that he would be filled with the peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and the wisdom to lead his family with godly courage.
For your grandchildren, we pray a covering of God’s protection over their young hearts and minds. May they feel the love of their parents and the comfort of the Holy Spirit, even in ways their little hearts can understand. We ask that this trial would not steal their joy but instead draw them closer to Jesus, who said, *"Let the little children come to me, and don’t hinder them; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these"* (Matthew 19:14).
As we approach Thanksgiving, we pray this holiday would be a time of sweet fellowship for your family, even amid the pain. May God’s presence be tangibly felt, and may gratitude for His faithfulness—past, present, and future—fill your home. Psalm 118:24 reminds us, *"This is the day that Yahweh has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!"* Let this be a season where miracles are birthed in praise, where faith is strengthened in worship, and where hope is renewed in the promises of God.
We also lift up your daughter’s spirit, asking the Lord to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May she be filled with the joy of the Lord, which is her strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and may she rest in the truth that her life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). Let her testimony be one of victory, whether through healing here on earth or ultimately in the presence of her Savior.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken yet believing hearts, lifting up this precious daughter, wife, and mother who is fighting for her life. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed her in her mother’s womb and knows every cell of her body. We ask for a miracle of healing—complete, total, and undeniable. Let every cancerous cell be eradicated by Your power, and let her body be restored to full health. You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and heals the sick, and we trust You to move mightily in her life.
Strengthen her husband, Lord. Fill him with Your Spirit, that he may be a pillar of faith and love for his wife and children. Give him wisdom to navigate this valley and the endurance to run this race with perseverance. Surround this family with Your peace, which transcends all understanding, and let them feel the embrace of Your love in tangible ways.
Father, we pray for Your comfort over the children. Shield their hearts from fear and fill them with the assurance that You are near. Let them grow up knowing the power of prayer and the faithfulness of their God.
As they gather for Thanksgiving, we ask that You would be the center of their celebration. Let gratitude rise even in the midst of sorrow, and let hope be the anchor of their souls. Remind them that You are good, and Your love endures forever.
Finally, Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear, doubt, and despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against your daughter shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in faith for her complete healing. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this trial.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
