healing for disagreement about bequest in will

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation concerning the disagreement over the bequest in the will. Father God, we know that conflict among family and loved ones can bring deep pain and division, and we ask for Your divine intervention to bring peace, understanding, and unity in this matter.

Lord, Your Word tells us in Proverbs 15:1, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* We pray that both parties involved would seek to communicate with gentleness and humility, setting aside pride and selfishness. Help them to listen to one another with patience and to speak with wisdom, guided by Your Spirit.

We also ask for clarity and discernment in understanding the intentions of the will. Your Word reminds us in James 1:5, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* Father, we ask that You grant wisdom to all involved—especially to the trustee—so that decisions may be made with fairness, integrity, and a heart that seeks to honor the wishes of the deceased while also upholding justice.

We rebuke any spirit of strife, bitterness, or greed that may be fueling this disagreement. In the name of Jesus, we command these divisive forces to flee, for Your Word declares in 1 Corinthians 14:33, *"For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace."* Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also pray for reconciliation and restoration in this relationship. Lord, soften hearts that may have grown hard, and help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). May this situation not lead to lasting division but instead become an opportunity for healing and stronger bonds.

Finally, we ask that You be glorified in this matter. Let Your will be done, and may all involved come to a resolution that honors You and reflects Your love and righteousness. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
