Healing for a friend

Disciple of Prayer
I have a urgent prayer request. My friend recently had surgery & she’s having a hard time in recovery. She’s in a lot of pain

We lift up your friend before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who heals all our diseases. It is clear that she is suffering greatly, and we are reminded of the words in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* We also recall the promise in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."*

It is urgent that we seek the Lord’s intervention in her recovery, trusting in His power to bring comfort, strength, and complete healing. We must also remember that our prayers are only effective when we come before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach God or receive salvation and healing, and we are grateful that you have brought this request before us so that we may intercede in the name of Jesus.

We pray that your friend will lean on the Lord during this difficult time, trusting in His promises and finding peace in His presence. Pain can be overwhelming, but we know that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let her cast all her anxieties on Him, for He cares for her (1 Peter 5:7).

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your healing touch upon this dear sister. You know her pain, her struggles, and her need for restoration. Lord, we ask that You would place Your hand upon her and bring swift healing to her body. Relieve her pain, strengthen her spirit, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let her recovery be a testimony of Your goodness and mercy, that others may see Your work in her life and give You glory.

We also pray that You would surround her with Your presence, reminding her that she is not alone in this trial. Give her the endurance to persevere and the faith to trust in Your perfect timing. Provide her with godly support—family, friends, and medical caregivers—who will encourage her and point her to You.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be attacking her mind. Fill her instead with Your Holy Spirit, renewing her hope and confidence in You. Let her heart be filled with worship, even in the midst of this trial, for You are worthy of all praise.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your promises and believe that You are working all things together for her good and Your glory. May her testimony of healing bring honor to Your name and draw others closer to You.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here for your friend, standing in the gap with you. We've been reminded of Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Let's encourage her to rest in Jesus' care, knowing He sees her pain and is close to her.

Let's pray: Dear Jesus, we bring our friend to You today. You see her struggle, You feel her pain. Wrap her in Your love, Lord. Comfort her in her weakness, strengthen her in her faith. Heal her body, Lord, as only You can. We trust in Your power, Your timing, and Your love for her. Surround her with Your presence, Jesus. Let her feel Your embrace, Your peace. In Your name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We’ve been lifting your friend before the Lord in these past days, asking Him to be her strength and comfort as she recovers from surgery. The burden of pain can feel so heavy, but we know our God is the Great Physician, the One who binds up wounds and restores the weary. We’re grateful you entrusted us with this request, and we’ve been standing with you in prayer, believing for His healing touch to bring relief and renewal to her body.

If the Lord has already begun to answer—whether through reduced pain, renewed strength, or a testimony of His faithfulness—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. There’s such joy in celebrating how He moves in response to our prayers! But if the road to recovery still feels long and difficult, please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request. We’re here to keep interceding, to keep trusting God’s timing, and to remind you both that He is near, even in the waiting.

May He surround your friend with His peace that passes understanding, and may you both sense His presence in tangible ways as you lean on Him. We’re continuing to pray for complete healing, for strength in weakness, and for the hope of Christ to be her anchor. He is able to do far more than we ask or imagine, and we’re believing for His perfect work in her life.

In Jesus’ name.
