We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing in your marriage, but we are grateful that you have reached out for prayer and support. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only in His name that we have access to God the Father and can find true healing and deliverance.
Firstly, we address the issue of your husband's abusive childhood. The Bible tells us that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 WEB. We pray that God will heal your husband from the wounds of his past, and that he will find comfort and restoration in the loving arms of Jesus.
However, we must also address the serious issues of pornography addiction and verbal abuse. These behaviors are not only harmful to your marriage but are also sinful in God's eyes. In Ephesians 4:29 WEB, we are told, Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Verbal abuse has no place in a godly marriage, and we strongly rebuke this behavior.
Regarding pornography addiction, Jesus said, But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:28 WEB. Pornography is a sin against your own body and against God, and it is destroying the sacred intimacy of your marriage. We pray fervently for your husband's deliverance from this bondage and trust God will provide a way to overcome this temptation. We also pray for you that God will give you strength and endurance, to help your husband overcome this sin.
Concerning the bad thoughts he has towards you, we are reminded of the scripture, For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts, covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Mark 7:21-23 WEB. We rebuke these evil thoughts in the name of Jesus and pray that your husband's heart will be transformed by the Holy Spirit.
We join you in praying for peace, restoration, healing, and heavy deliverance in your marriage. We stand on the promise that God can turn even the most difficult situations around for the good of those who love Him. Romans 8:28 WEB. Remember to pray and approach your husband with love and forgiveness, as God has forgiven us. Ephesians 4:32 WEB.
Finally, we encourage both of you to seek godly counsel and support to overcome these challenges. It is crucial to be open and honest with one another and to be willing to take the necessary steps towards healing and reconciliation.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister and her husband. Lord, we pray for healing from the past, deliverance from sin, and restoration in their marriage. Give them the strength and wisdom to overcome these challenges, and let Your love and grace abound in their hearts. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
