We join with you in faith, lifting your need for healing before the Lord, for it is written in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We know that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and by His stripes, we *are* healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Your request is grounded in the name of Jesus, and that is commendable, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Christ that we approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing He hears and answers according to His perfect will.
Yet we must also ask: Do you trust Him not only for physical healing but for the deeper work He may be doing in your spirit? Sometimes pain and sickness are used by God to draw us closer to Him, to refine our faith, and to testify to His power in our weakness. The apostle Paul pleaded with the Lord three times for a "thorn in the flesh" to be removed, but God answered, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"* (2 Corinthians 12:9). Whether healing comes swiftly or tarries, may your heart rest in the truth that His grace is enough.
Let us also examine our lives, for unconfessed sin can hinder our prayers (Psalm 66:18). If there is anything the Holy Spirit is convicting you of—bitterness, unforgiveness, or disobedience—we urge you to repent and surrender it to Jesus. He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who seeks healing and restoration. Lord, You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we ask that You stretch out Your hand to touch every cell, organ, and system in their body. Remove all pain, disease, and infirmity, and let Your healing power flow through them like a river. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that by the wounds of Jesus, they are made whole.
If there is any area of their life that needs surrender or repentance, Lord, reveal it to them and grant them the strength to obey. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let this season of waiting—whether short or long—be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your will, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, surround them with Your presence, and let them feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit in a tangible way.
In the powerful and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
