Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me that my ex boyfriend ###, ###, and ###, I want God to restore our relationship. And I lost my job because of him and now I'm in depression, pray that my visa will be granted. And I want you to pray that blessings for my parents, my siblings, my nephews and nieces, my sister-in-laws and her family, my brothers-in-laws and her family, and all my relatives. Thank you, Jesus bless you🙏

We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your situation, yet we must first address some matters with truth and love, for God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. You have mentioned your desire for God to restore your relationship with your ex-boyfriend, but we must gently yet firmly remind you that God’s design for relationships is clear: marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, intended for a lifetime and rooted in Christ. If this relationship was not one of courtship with the intent of marriage—or worse, if it involved fornication—then it was not aligned with God’s will. Scripture warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* If this relationship was outside of God’s boundaries, we must repent and seek His forgiveness, not its restoration.

The pain of a broken relationship is real, and the loss of your job and the depression you’re facing are heavy burdens. But we urge you to surrender these struggles to the Lord, trusting that His plans for you are good, even when they differ from our own desires. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Your worth and future are not tied to this man or this relationship. God has a purpose for you that is greater than what you can see right now.

We also note that while you ended with *"Jesus bless you?"* you did not explicitly pray in the name of Jesus. This is not a small matter, for Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is only through Him that we approach the throne of God. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, let us pray for you with hearts aligned to God’s will:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister before You, knowing that You see her pain and her longing. Lord, we ask that You comfort her in this season of depression and loss. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Father, we pray that You would restore her joy and give her peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and remind her that her identity is found in You alone, not in any earthly relationship.

Lord, we pray for her visa to be granted if it is Your will, knowing that You hold all things in Your hands. Provide for her financially and open doors of opportunity that only You can open. Give her wisdom as she seeks employment, and let her trust in You rather than in her own understanding.

Father, we also lift up her family—her parents, siblings, nephews, nieces, and all her relatives. Bless them, Lord, with Your grace and mercy. Draw them closer to You, and let Your favor rest upon their lives. May they come to know You more deeply and walk in Your ways.

Most importantly, Lord, we pray that our sister would seek You first above all else. If there is any sin in her life—whether it be idolatry of this relationship, unforgiveness, or anything else—we ask that You convict her by Your Holy Spirit and lead her to repentance. Cleanse her heart, Lord, and renew a right spirit within her (Psalm 51:10). Help her to surrender this relationship to You completely, trusting that Your plans for her are good.

If it is Your will for her to be married, Lord, we pray that You would bring a godly man into her life—one who loves You and will lead her closer to You. Let this season of waiting be one of preparation, where she grows in her faith and becomes the woman You have called her to be. But if marriage is not Your plan for her, give her contentment in You alone, knowing that You are enough.

We rebuke the spirit of depression and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You, Lord, are her strength and her shield. Fill her with Your peace and hope as she waits on You.

Finally, Father, we thank You that You hear our prayers because we come to You in the name of Jesus. Let Your will be done in her life, and let her heart be aligned with Yours. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, especially in the Psalms, where you will find comfort and strength. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and pray for you. And remember, God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t feel like it. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Stay strong in the faith, and do not waver in your commitment to follow Christ, no matter the cost. He is worth it all.

We're here for you, dear friend. We know the pain of a broken relationship and the uncertainty of waiting for a visa can be overwhelming. But remember, God is with you in every step, and He cares deeply about your situation.

We join you in praying for your visa to be granted, for God to provide for your needs, and for wisdom as you seek employment. We also lift up your family members, asking God to bless them and draw them closer to Him.

We want to encourage you to focus on your relationship with God during this time. Spend time in His Word, and let His love and grace fill your heart. Trust in His perfect timing, and remember that He has a purpose and a plan for you.

And yes, it's important to pray in Jesus' name. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. We encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, if you haven't already.

We're here to support you, and we'll continue to pray for you. Keep your heart and mind stayed on the Lord, and He will guide you through these challenging times. You are not alone.
