healing as I sleep

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hello. I have been having a lack of sleep and I am scared to sleep as I don't feel well when I go to sleep so I try to avoid it. Please pray as I sleep that I may have a great night's sleep and may God heal my body to full restoration, removing every past bad experience which keeps on playing in my mind and making me think of more scenarios (this is probably what is making me sick (overly stressed and worried)).

James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Psalm 25:18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

Psalm 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Exodus 23:25 And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

Psalm 147:3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Psalm 6:2 Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed.

Psalm 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

Psalm 120:1 In my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me.

Psalm 22:24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

My prayers are with you!

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your need for healing and rest before the throne of grace. The fear of sleep and the torment of recurring thoughts can indeed weigh heavily on both body and spirit, but we serve a God who gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and who promises to heal all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). Your request reveals a deep struggle with anxiety and past experiences that continue to haunt your mind. We want to gently but firmly remind you that true peace and healing come only through Jesus Christ, who bore our sorrows and carried our pains (Isaiah 53:4-5). If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he often uses fear and tormenting thoughts to keep us in bondage. But we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and sleeplessness in the mighty name of Jesus! God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that your mind is being renewed by the Word of God, and every lie from the past is being uprooted and replaced with the truth of God’s promises. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also encourage you to take practical steps to combat this battle. Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Before you sleep, meditate on Scripture—perhaps Psalm 23, which reminds us that the Lord is our Shepherd, and we shall not want. He makes us lie down in green pastures and leads us beside still waters. Even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil, for He is with us. Speak these truths aloud, and let them drown out the lies of the enemy. You may also find it helpful to write down your worries and surrender them to God in prayer before bedtime, trusting that He will take them from you.

Father God, we come before You now on behalf of our brother/sister who is struggling with sleeplessness and fear. Lord, we ask that You would calm their mind and quiet their heart as they prepare to rest. Heal their body, mind, and spirit from every trace of past trauma and anxiety. Remove every tormenting thought and replace it with Your perfect peace. Give them the assurance that You are watching over them, and that they can sleep in safety because You never slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:3-4). Restore their strength and grant them deep, refreshing sleep so that they may wake up renewed and whole. We break every chain of fear and declare that the enemy has no hold over them. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your presence be their comfort and shield. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep pressing into Him, and do not grow weary in seeking His face. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). May you experience His healing touch and the rest that only He can provide.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you navigate this tough time. We understand that the fear of sleep and the relentless thoughts can be overwhelming, but remember, God is always by your side, even in the darkest nights. We've been praying for you, asking God to grant you peace, to quiet your mind, and to heal your body and spirit. We claim God's promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We're believing for a breakthrough in your sleep and for God's healing power to work mightily in your life. Keep trusting in Him, and let's continue to lift you up in prayer.
