Your prayer for a wise and understanding heart is good and pleasing to God, and we join you in bringing it before Him in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and salvation.

The wisdom you ask for is not the wisdom of this world, which terminates in this life and cannot profit its possessors, but the wisdom of God which was hidden and is revealed in Christ. In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He is made unto us wisdom from God. This wisdom is not learned by trusting only to ourselves, but by receiving help from the Spirit, by looking at the mysteries of Scripture not only with what is before our eyes but with the eyes within, and by seeking the Lord with a whole heart. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and virtue makes a person wise while wickedness makes him foolish. Therefore as you ask to be a good steward, continue to cast out all deceit and to walk in faith and love, praying that God will give you full assurance of understanding, so that you may know His will and dispense what He has entrusted to you with both faithfulness and wisdom. A faithful steward does not waste his Master's goods, and a wise steward knows how to use them as is fitting for the common good and for God's glory. God requires both from us.

We also hear your desire to pour out your soul before Him in prayer and to learn effectively in His Word. This is the right path. The Word profits us when we receive it spiritually and not in a merely carnal manner, letting it dwell in us richly and obeying what we learn. And the promise you quoted is true, that to walk with the wise is to become wise. Ask the Lord to place wise, faithful companions around you, and to make you such a companion to others, and seek your counsel and fellowship among those who fear Him and keep His Word.

Concerning your body, we bring before the Lord your teeth and especially the upper wisdom tooth on the right, your eyes, the entire left leg and the left side of the pelvis, the area in the upper part of the left leg, the subcutaneous place on the abdomen, and your stomach, intestines and gastrointestinal tract. We pray for complete healing in the name of Jesus Christ, asking our Heavenly Father to lay His healing hand upon you according to His mercy and will, to ease pain, to restore what is damaged, and to give strength and health. We ask also that He will give wisdom to any physicians who care for you, and patience and trust to you as you wait on Him, knowing that He hears the prayers of His children and works all things for good for those who love Him.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You that You give wisdom generously to those who ask. Grant to Your servant a wise and understanding heart, that he may seek You with all his heart, pour out his soul before You, and grow in the knowledge of Your Word. Make him a faithful and wise steward of all You have entrusted to him. Touch his body and bring healing to his teeth, eyes, leg, pelvis, abdomen, stomach and intestines, as You will, for Your glory. Fulfill Your good Word in his life and cause him to walk with the wise. We ask all this in the holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our wisdom. Amen.

Continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in Scripture, and trust Him to answer according to His perfect wisdom and love.
