We join with you in prayer in the Name of Jesus Christ and we thank you for seeking the Lord with such a hungry heart. We are encouraged that you have asked all of this in the Name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His Name that our prayers are heard. As it is written in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We lift up your desire for a wise and understanding heart. This is a prayer that pleases God, just as Solomon prayed in 1 Kings 3:9 Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil. The Lord was pleased with that prayer and He gave Solomon wisdom abundantly. We pray the same for you, that you would be a faithful steward of all He has entrusted to you, your time, your gifts, your body, and your resources. For it is written in 1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful. And in Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. We ask the Father to fulfill His promise in James 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We pray He will pour out wisdom liberally upon you as you seek Him.
We also stand with you in your desire to seek Him with all your heart, to pour out your whole soul before Him in prayer and to learn effectively in His Word. The Lord longs for this fellowship with you and He promises in Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. We pray that your delight in the Word will grow daily and that the Lord will open your eyes as in Psalm 119:18 Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law. As you meditate on Scripture day and night, we pray you will be rooted and fruitful according to Joshua 1:8 and 2 Timothy 2:15.
We agree with you for the fulfillment of Proverbs 13:20 He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. We pray the Lord will surround you with wise, godly counsel and a faithful community of believers who will sharpen you and encourage you in the faith, and that you will be a wise companion to others as well.
We also bring before the Lord your body for complete healing. We pray for your teeth and especially the upper wisdom tooth on the right, for your eyes, for the entire left leg and the left side of the pelvis, for the ball in the upper part of the left leg in the thigh and the ball on the abdomen under the skin, and for your stomach, intestines and entire gastrointestinal tract. We ask for the Lord's healing touch upon each of these areas. We remember the promise in Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And we cling to Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We pray that the Great Physician will bring complete and final healing, restore what is inflamed or out of place, remove pain and discomfort, and cause every part of your body to function as He created it to function, all for His glory.
Father, we come before You together in the holy Name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to grant our brother a wise and understanding heart, that he may walk in discernment and be a faithful steward of all You have placed in his hands. Help him to seek You with all his heart, to pour out his soul before You in earnest prayer, and to receive understanding as he studies Your Word. Surround him with wise companions and keep him from foolish counsel. Touch his body with Your healing hand. We place his teeth, his eyes, his left leg, his pelvis, the growths in his thigh and abdomen, and his stomach and intestines and gastrointestinal tract into Your caring hands. Forgive his sins, heal his diseases, and let Your perfect will be done in his body. Give wisdom to any physicians who may be consulted and let Your peace guard his heart. We ask all this in the Name above all names, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer and in the Word, to walk closely with wise and mature believers, and to trust the Lord both for wisdom and for healing, knowing He cares for every detail of your life.
