We hear the heaviness in your heart and we join with you in bringing all of this before the Lord together in Jesus' name. You ask why life feels so much harder now than when you were younger, and why you feel like hiding in bed where it feels safe while your husband seems to be going all the time. We understand that feeling of being stuck in one place while life moves quickly around you, and we want to lift you up with the truth of God's Word.

Life often feels simpler when we are younger because we carry fewer burdens, but as years go on we face more cares, health struggles, and responsibilities in a fallen world. Yet God does not leave us to carry these things alone. He invites us to cast every care on Him. As it is written, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22 and Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7. That desire to hide in bed is understandable when you feel overwhelmed, but true safety and peace are not found in hiding away, but in Him who is our refuge. When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2. We encourage you not to isolate yourself, but to come out from that hiding place into His presence and also into fellowship with others, for the Lord is near to those who seek Him.

We also hear your heart regarding your marriage. We thank God for your husband and for your marriage, which He ordained as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman to reflect His love and faithfulness. It is natural to feel left behind when your husband is busy mowing, playing his accordion, and going to his club to play at different places, while you are home doing things around the house. We pray that God will bring a deeper unity and understanding between you, that you may encourage one another and find joy together in this season. We pray you can share openly with your husband about how you feel, not with comparison or resentment, but with love, and that you both may find ways to serve the Lord and enjoy life together. And we pray for contentment and purpose for you where God has placed you, knowing that your work at home is valuable to Him. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23.

You have asked for healing for yourself and your husband, for your health and your marriage and for getting along, and for your sisters and for ### who has brain cancer. We bring each of these needs before our merciful Father. We know that our Lord is the great healer and that He hears the prayers of His people. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. James 5:14-15. We do not always understand His timing or His ways, but we trust His perfect love and power to heal according to His will.

We notice you call out to Lord many times with a sincere heart, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and the promise of salvation. There is no other way to the Father except through Him. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. When we pray in Jesus' name, we come with confidence because of what He has done for us.

So we pray together now for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for our dear sister, for her husband, for her sisters, and for little ###. Lord, You see her weariness and the heaviness that makes her want to hide away. We ask You to be her refuge and strength, her ever present help in trouble. Lift this burden of heaviness and give her Your peace that surpasses all understanding. As Your Word promises, Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Touch her body and mind with healing, Lord, and touch her husband also. Strengthen their health and strengthen their marriage. Help them to love each other well, to be patient and kind, to bear with one another in love and to get along with grace. Teach them to encourage one another daily and to find joy in You together.

We lift up her sisters to You and we especially lift up ### who is battling brain cancer. Lord, You know every cell in her body, for You formed her. We ask for Your healing hand upon her, for wisdom for her doctors, for comfort and strength for her family, and for Your will to be done in her life. We pray You would show Your power and mercy and give them all peace as they trust in You. Help our sister to know she is not standing in one place alone, for You are with her wherever she goes. We pray, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. And we pray she would hear Your invitation, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28.

We thank You Lord that You love us and You need us to need You all the time, and we rest in Your faithful care. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in His Word, to share your heart honestly with your husband, and if the feelings of wanting to hide persist, to reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or believer who can walk with you. God has purpose for you right where you are, and He will sustain you one day at a time.

Thank you for sharing so honestly with us. We hear how heavy life feels right now, and how confusing it is to wonder why it felt lighter when you were younger and feels so hard now. Wanting to stay in bed and hide because it feels safe there makes sense when you are overwhelmed and tired.

It also makes sense that it would feel lonely watching your husband stay busy with mowing, his accordion and his club while you feel like you are standing still. Doing things around the house is real work, even if it does not feel as visible, and feeling stuck in place while someone else keeps moving can be discouraging for a marriage.

We are praying with you for healing and peace for you and your husband, for your marriage and getting along, for your sisters, and especially for ### with brain cancer. We carry all of those needs before the Lord with you.

What you described about wanting to hide in bed is worth sharing with someone you trust in person. Alongside prayer, it can help to talk with your doctor or a counselor or pastor soon, just to let someone know how you are feeling and to have support close by. If you can, consider telling your husband or a sister one small honest piece of this too, not everything at once, just that you have been feeling low and would value prayer and company.

Father, we lift this dear sister and her husband to You, and her sisters and ###. Bring Your comfort where there is fear and weariness, give wisdom to doctors and loved ones caring for them, and draw this family close to You and to each other. Lead them step by step and let them know Your nearness each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your honest and weary prayer has been heard, and we have brought it before the Lord with you. You ask why life feels so hard now when it once felt lighter, why the bed feels like the only safe place to hide, and why you feel as one standing still while your husband seems always going about his work and his music. The Lord knows this heaviness. He sees you in that quiet room and He does not despise the sigh that can scarce shape itself into words.

You are not alone in this loneliness, though it feels so solitary. Our blessed Savior knew this path. He was left alone just when most, as Man, He needed human sympathy, and His disciples forsook Him and fled. Yet hear His word in that hour, You shall leave Me alone and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. So it is with His people. When deep soul conflict comes and faith must fight for very existence, when you feel friendless and fixed in one place while others go here and there, Christ draws near to the lonely heart. His solemn self surrender in His loneliness has an awfulness of love in it, and He understands your hiding and your tears.

You have asked for healing for yourself and your husband, for your marriage and your health, for your sisters and for little ### who bears that grievous burden of brain cancer. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, but there is a deeper healing which the Great Physician brings. Scripture says, The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. Not only His fruit but His leaves, the very hem of His garment, is full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. And healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings for all who look to Him.

Know this, that the doctrine of the sovereignty of God is no discouragement to a seeking soul. It is of God that showeth mercy. He has not forgotten you in this season. He that permitted the fever permits also the healing, and He took her by the hand and lifted her up. There was a contact established. So Christ must lay His hand upon you. Healing must come before serving, and He delights to lift up those who are lying sick and heavy of heart. Do not think you must first make yourself strong enough to serve Him or to keep your house or to keep your marriage. Come as you are, sick unto death if need be, and ask to be forgiven and healed, and healing will come from the pardoning hand.

We have prayed for you, that the Lord would give you peace that guards heart and mind, and strength to rise from that bed not in your own power but in His. We have prayed for your husband, that the Lord would keep his body in health and keep your marriage in that lifelong covenant of love and forbearance, that you may be knit together in getting along, in kindness and patience, bearing with one another as Christ has borne with us. We have prayed for your sisters, and for ###, that the Lord in His infinite mercy would lay His healing hand upon her and upon all your household, according to His perfect will, and that whether He heals by His immediate power or sustains through trial, you may all see the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.

Cast all your problems upon Him, for He cares for you. Tell Him again, as you have told us, Lord I need You all the time. That is no small prayer. It is the prayer He loves to answer. Look to Jesus now, not to your own frame or feeling. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Let His Word be your daily bread, and in His time you shall find that you are not alone, and that His leaves have brought healing to your broken heart.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace, and may He perfect that healing work in soul and body till you shall be without spot or wrinkle before Him.
