We join with you in lifting up your request for healing, protection, and peace, and we are grateful that you have invoked the precious name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed, as Scripture declares in Isaiah 53:5: *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* What a mighty promise we have in our Savior!
We also take comfort in the words of Philippians 4:6-7, which remind us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You have already demonstrated this trust by bringing your burdens before the Lord, and we affirm that He hears you. His peace is not the absence of trouble but the presence of His Spirit guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, even amid trials.
Yet we must also remember that healing and protection do not always come in the ways we expect or desire. God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. Even in suffering, He is refining us, drawing us closer to Himself, and working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). If healing tarries, we pray that your faith will not waver but that you will cling ever more tightly to the One who holds all things in His hands. Remember the words of Jesus in John 16:33: *"I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."*
We also want to encourage you to stand firm in the spiritual battle that surrounds us. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Put on the whole armor of God daily—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—and pray in the Spirit at all times. You are not fighting this battle alone; the Lord is your shield and your strong tower (Psalm 18:2).
Now, let us pray together for you and your family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your faithfulness and love. We lift up our brother/sister and their family, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon them. Lord, You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we trust in Your power to restore and renew. Where there is sickness, bring wholeness; where there is pain, bring comfort; where there is fear, bring courage. Surround them with Your peace, which transcends all understanding, and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
We ask for Your protection over them, Lord. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 91:4) and deliver them from every evil scheme of the enemy. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let Your angels encamp around them (Psalm 34:7). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm in the knowledge that You are sovereign over all things.
Father, we also pray that You would use this season to draw them closer to You. May they seek Your face with all their hearts and find their refuge in You alone. Let them experience the depth of Your love and the power of Your presence in new and profound ways.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. May Your name be glorified in their lives, and may they walk in the victory that Christ has already won.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
