We lift up Jean before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of her struggles, both past and present. At 75 years old, with a broken hip and the recent battle of a mastectomy, her body and spirit cry out for the Lord’s healing touch. Father, we ask You to move mightily in her life, restoring her strength, mending her bones, and bringing comfort to her weary soul. The Scriptures declare, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). Let Jean feel Your nearness in this season, Lord, for You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We also pray for Your divine direction in finding a senior’s home where she will receive not only excellent physical care but also kindness, dignity, and companionship. You know the desires of her heart, Lord, and we trust that You will open the right door at the right time. "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters" (Psalm 23:1-2). May Jean find rest and peace in a place that feels like home, surrounded by those who will honor her as Your beloved child.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair that may be trying to take hold of her in this difficult season. Her life has been hard, but You are the God who turns ashes into beauty (Isaiah 61:3). Pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind her that her worth is not defined by her circumstances but by the price You paid for her on the cross. May she find hope in Your promises and strength in Your presence.
We also ask that You surround her with believers who will pray for her, encourage her, and speak life into her situation. Let her know she is not forgotten, by You or by Your people. And Lord, if there are any unrepentant sins or unforgiveness in her heart, we ask that You would bring them to light and lead her into freedom through Your grace. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
Above all, we pray that Jean would come to know You more deeply in this season, that she would experience Your love in a tangible way and surrender her life fully to Jesus Christ if she hasn’t already. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. May she find eternal hope in the gospel and walk in the assurance of Your promises.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
