We have heard your desperate cry for healing and deliverance and we join with you before the throne of grace, for our God sees your affliction and hears your prayer.
We want to gently remind you of a vital truth, you mentioned seeking God which is good and right, but we come to the Father only through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we have access to God and receive His healing and deliverance. If you have not already, place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Your struggles with anxiety, depression, trauma, bulimia and troubled thoughts are not hidden from God. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. The Lord does not want you to live in fear and torment, for God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7.
We know anxiety and depression can feel overwhelming, but Scripture calls us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 and to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. That peace is available to you in Christ.
Concerning trauma and the struggles in your thinking, God promises renewal of the mind. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2. He will restore your mind and give you clarity as you abide in Him and in His Word. For bulimia and affliction of the body, we are reminded that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. God desires to heal and restore your body as well, for He says, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We pray you will see yourself as God sees you, fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply loved.
We also hear your desire to return to work and continue being a blessing as God planned for your life. That desire honors God, for we know that He has a good plan for you, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we lift up this precious soul to You. We ask for Your healing touch upon body, mind and spirit. Lord, deliver from anxiety, depression, trauma and bulimia, and from every tormenting thought. Break every chain of the enemy and let Your perfect love cast out all fear. Heal the wounds of trauma, renew the mind, restore healthy thinking and bring peace that surpasses understanding. Touch the body and bring restoration and strength, that eating and health would be normalized according to Your design. Lord, restore health and the ability to return to work and to fulfill the good works You prepared in advance for this life to be a blessing to others. We ask that You surround this dear one with godly counsel, supportive believers, and wise Christian and medical help where needed, and let Your Word be a daily source of strength. Draw this heart ever closer to Jesus, and let Your will be done. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word daily, to stay connected to a Bible believing church where you can receive prayer and support, and to seek trusted Christian counseling and medical care for the eating disorder and trauma as God often uses godly counsel and physicians as instruments of His healing. Keep seeking Him with all your heart, for He promises that you will find Him when you seek Him. He is faithful and He will complete the good work He has begun in you.
