Thank you for sharing your need so honestly. I am praying for you as you face both intense physical pain in your knee and the fear that comes from spiritual attack. God sees both, and He cares about both.
Pain in the body is hard to bear, especially when it is in a joint like the knee that you need for every step. Scripture speaks of pain as part of living in a fallen world, a world broken by sin since the beginning. One servant of God spoke of his own ongoing knee pain as a thorn in the flesh, a constant reminder that human strength and glory are fleeting and that we need the Lord every day. Your pain can feel that way too, a daily reminder of weakness. Yet the Lord also shows us His heart toward suffering. Jesus wept when He saw what sin has done to people, the sorrow and grief it brings. He is not distant from your suffering. He understands it and He is moved with compassion for you.
The same Jesus who weeps with you is also the One who has been exalted above every power. The Bible teaches that God has seated Christ in the heavenly places far above every name that is named, and has put all things under His feet, and that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. That includes every spiritual power that would come against you. Witchcraft and every work of darkness must bow to Him. It has no authority that is greater than His. The best and only safe place is to bow your knee to Jesus willingly now, gladly confessing Him as Lord and trusting Him for salvation. Scripture says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. If a person waits until the day when everyone is forced to bow, that confession will not bring salvation. It is far better to bow now in faith and love.
I also want to encourage you that God will accomplish His purpose to deliver His people. Even when we feel weak or afraid, His plan does not fail. If deliverance does not come from one direction, God will raise it up from another, because He is faithful to save and to keep those who trust Him. You can rest in that confidence while you pray for relief.
This present world is still marked by groaning, by bodies that ache and by spiritual conflict, but this is not how it will always be. Because of sin there is pain and death now, but God promises a day when there will be no more tears, no more death, no more sorrow and no more pain, for the former things will have passed away. One day we will see what life is like when Jesus reigns fully. Until then He walks with us through the pain and He is able to help and to heal.
I am praying for you now for both healing and deliverance. May the Lord touch your knee and bring relief from this gout pain, ease the inflammation and restore strength to that joint. May He lift the burden of fear and break every attack of the enemy against you, covering you with His protection and filling you with His peace. May He remind you that you belong to Jesus, that you are under His feet in victory, not under the power of darkness. As you bow your knee to Him today, may you confess with confidence that Jesus is Lord over your body, over your mind, over your home and over every spiritual power, and may you experience His presence, His comfort and His healing power in a very real way.
