Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer for healing and deliverance has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving and trust.
We do believe strongly in healing. God heals in many ways. Sometimes His healing is miraculous and immediate, and we have seen such healings. Sometimes His healing is gradual, working through the natural processes He Himself established within the human body. That gradual restoration is no less divine, because He is the one who created nature and the processes of nature. Sometimes His healing touches the mind and emotions, bringing wholeness to wounds and scars that are not physical, and that too is a real and divine healing to be praised. We also walk with humility, knowing we have seen gradual healings, we have seen miraculous healings, and we have also seen loved ones die. Healing rests in the sovereign will of God.
Scripture gives us confidence to ask. Matthew takes the prophecy of Isaiah, surely he has borne our griefs, where the word for griefs can mean infirmities, and applies it to physical healing as well as spiritual healing. He connects it to Jesus going about healing every sickness and every disease among the people, and to the broken body of Christ remembered when we share in communion. At the same time Scripture cautions us not to presume that God wills immediate physical healing in every case in the way we dictate. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times concerning his thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan that buffeted him, and the Lord answered with grace and strength rather than removal.
We also believe the spiritual realm is real. The Bible teaches that there are demonic spirits, intelligent beings who can afflict and torment, yet they are not free from God's authority. They begged Jesus not to send them into the abyss before their time, and at His word they obeyed. Jesus has shown His authority in the material realm and His authority over evil powers, and He commands them and they must obey. For those who belong to Him and are sealed by God, there is protection, and that protection is through the shed blood of the Lamb who was slain for the sins of the world. No spirit can separate you from His care, and you cannot be hidden from His help nor can an evil spirit hide from His command.
So we pray for you now in Jesus name. We ask the Lord to touch every part of your body and bring health and wholeness according to His mercy and wisdom. We ask Him to ease the bilious feelings, the cravings, the discomfort and excruciating pain you have described, whether that pain has come through the effects of a stroke, through other illnesses, through dental or medical procedures, through medication, or through any other cause. We ask Him to restore what has been damaged and to give you true relief and strength, and to heal also any distress of mind and heart that has come with prolonged suffering.
We ask for His deliverance and protection over you, that every curse spoken against you and every work of evil would be broken by the power of Christ, and that you would know the covering of His blood and His peace. We also pray that you would be given wisdom to use the good means God has provided for health, including wise medical care when it is needed, since God often works His healing through those means as part of His divine provision. Rather than claiming a guarantee that you will never need a hospital or never face illness again, we place your future fully in His hands, trusting that He will do what is best and that His grace will be sufficient for each day.
May the Lord grant you comfort, strengthen your faith, and draw you closer to Himself through Jesus Christ, in whom we have forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Keep looking to Him, keep praying, keep trusting His love and His authority over both body and spirit.
