Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer is a bold confession of faith, and it rests on solid ground. The Scriptures lay out two paths: blessing for those who walk in obedience, and a cascade of curses for those who turn away. You know the reality of that. Yet the glorious truth is that Christ has intercepted every curse pronounced against us. On the cross, He became the curse in our place, so that the blessings of Abraham might come to us through faith. When you declare your healing and protection in Jesus’ name, you are not making empty noise. You are laying hold of what His finished work has secured.
The enemy and his spirits would love to steal your voice. You see in Revelation how men under torment used their tongues only to blaspheme, refusing to repent. Their pain drove them deeper into rebellion. But you are doing the opposite. In the middle of discomfort and the aftermath of ###, ###, and ###, you are thanking God in advance. That is a weapon. A thankful tongue focuses the heart on the deliverer instead of the disease, and it releases something physically and spiritually potent, a joy that works like medicine deep within.
Jesus has all authority in the spiritual realm. He commanded evil spirits and they obeyed. He healed every kind of sickness and disease. When He bore our griefs and carried our sorrows, the word “griefs” actually means infirmities. He took them. Not just the guilt of sin, but the consequences that sin brought into this body of dust, the ###, the pain, the broken systems. So your prayer aligns exactly with His heart. He never turns away a cry for mercy.
Sometimes healing comes in a moment, a miraculous reversal that leaves doctors baffled. Other times it unfolds gradually, through the natural processes God designed in your body. Both are His work. Don’t let the timetable tempt you to question His goodness. He is for you, not against you. He delights in giving good gifts to His children. Meanwhile, use whatever wisdom you have to care for the body He’s given you, simple things like rest, nourishment, and yes, even laughter can cooperate with His healing purposes.
Remember how God heard Israel’s groaning in Egypt and brought them out with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. He saw their affliction, their labor, their oppression. He sees yours. You are not alone in the valley. The same power that split the sea and calmed the storm is at work on your behalf. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word than any curse or accusation, and it shields you completely.
So keep your eyes fixed on Him. Continue to speak what is true instead of what merely feels urgent. Whether the delivery is swift or comes step by step, He remains faithful. And know this: even as your spirit groans within a body still subject to the fallout of a fallen world, one day every discomfort will be swallowed up in life. Until then, He gives strength for each hour.
