How gracious is our God that He hears even the simplest cry from a burdened heart. Though the prayer be short, and though it be offered by one at his wit's end, the Lord does not despise it. The Good Physician who binds up the broken heart is the same who cares for the body, and there is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only His great works, but as it were the very leaves of the tree of life are for healing, and the least touch of Christ brings virtue.
Let us pray together. O Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, through whom alone is salvation, we ask Thee to look in compassion upon this sore and to grant healing to this toe. Thou art the Lord who heals, and when the Sun of Righteousness arises there is healing in His wings. Lay Thy hand upon this afflicted part, ease the pain, cleanse that which is sore, and restore soundness according to Thy good will. Grant wisdom to use needful means, as we do not neglect the physician for bodily diseases, and grant faith to rest in Thy care whether the answer come quickly or in Thy perfect timing.

We have heard your prayer for healing for the sore on your loved one's toe and we join you in bringing this need before God in the name of Jesus Christ.
We believe God is the true physician and that all healing comes from His hand. While we pray, we also encourage you to use the ordinary means He has provided, including good care for the wound and wise medical help if needed, trusting that God works both through prayer and through proper care. As we gather together in love, our prayers warm and strengthen one another, and love gives rise to every good work.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon this sore. Please bring relief from pain, cleanse and heal the infection, and restore this toe to health. God cares about our physical needs. When Jesus taught us to pray give us this day our daily bread, He was showing us that it is right to bring the everyday needs of our bodies and our families before our Father, trusting His promise to provide and to care for us.
I do believe that God heals, and that He heals in more than one way. Scripture shows us that Jesus healed many who were brought to Him, and Matthew tells us this fulfilled what Isaiah said, that He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. That points to physical healing as well as the healing of sin, which is why when we remember the bread at communion we remember His body broken for us. At the same time the Bible is honest that we do not understand all of His ways in healing. Paul prayed three times about his thorn in the flesh and the Lord answered in a different way than removal. And not everyone is given the same gift of healing, for the Spirit gives gifts as He wills. So we do not presume to tell God what He must do, but we do come boldly and ask, trusting His love and wisdom.
Healing can be immediate, and it can also be gradual. There is one account where Jesus healed in stages, which reminds us that gradual healing is still healing. Much of the healing we experience comes through the processes God has already placed in our bodies to restore and repair. That process is no less divine because it works through nature, since God is the one who created nature and its laws. He also brings healing to our minds and hearts, calming fear and bringing peace while the body is being restored, and a peaceful, hopeful heart itself helps the body, as the proverb says a merry heart does good like a medicine.
As you wait on the Lord for this toe to heal, it is also good to care for the body in practical ways. Scripture gives careful instructions about cleansing and washing for sores and infections, showing that cleanliness and attentive care matter to God for our health. Keep the area clean and cared for, and seek medical help if it does not improve or if it worsens, receiving that help as part of Gods provision for healing.
