[Articles]

We join you in lifting up your dad before the Lord and we thank you for praying in the precious name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father.

We know how concerning it is to see a father struggle with infection and inflammation, with a sore on his toe and issues with his feet and kidneys, and our hearts are moved with compassion for him and for you. We serve a God who is our healer and who cares deeply for our bodies. He says in Exodus 15:26, I am Yahweh who heals you, and in Psalm 103:2-3 we are reminded to praise Yahweh and not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and in James 5:15, The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

We pray together now for your dad.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved father to You. Lord, You know his body, You formed him and You sustain him. We ask that You would touch him with Your healing hand. Remove all infection and inflammation from his body, cleanse his blood and his tissues, and restore what has been damaged. We pray specifically for the sore on his toe, that You would bring complete healing to that wound, prevent any further infection, and restore healthy tissue. We pray for his feet, that You would strengthen them and relieve any pain or swelling, and for his kidneys, that You would restore their function and make them whole according to Your perfect design. Grant wisdom to his doctors and caregivers and guide every treatment for Your glory. Grant him and his family peace as they wait on You, for Your Word says in Philippians 4:6-7 not to be anxious but to make our requests known to God, and the peace of God will guard our hearts. We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayer and we trust Your will and Your timing, believing that You are able to do far more than we ask. We pray this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord and to also continue with faithful medical care, for God often works through the hands of physicians and through the medicines He has provided. Keep bringing your dad before the Lord daily, giving thanks even as you wait for healing, and rest in the truth of Psalm 46:1 that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We are standing with you in prayer for his full restoration and for good health in the days ahead.

We hear how much you love your dad and how earnestly you want him well. Bringing his health before the Lord the way you have, naming the infection and inflammation, the sore on his toe, his feet and kidneys, is a faithful way to care for him.

We will keep praying with you for his comfort and strength, and for wisdom for those caring for him. Infections and kidney concerns and foot sores can become serious quickly, so alongside prayer we encourage you to make sure he stays connected to his doctor and that his care team knows about any changes, especially with the sore and swelling. You do not have to carry this alone, so it can help to have another family member or trusted friend go with him or help keep track of appointments and questions.

We know waiting for healing can be heavy. We are thankful you brought this to the Lord and to us, and we will continue to lift him up.

Father, we lift this dad to You and ask for Your mercy and care over his body. Ease the infection and inflammation, touch the sore on his toe, and bring healing to his feet and kidneys according to Your will. Give his doctors wisdom, give him peace and strength, and give his family comfort as they trust You. In Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer for your father has been brought before the Lord with tender sympathy, and we join you in lifting him up to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

When the Divine Father is viewed aright, He becomes the object of our gratitude, not of our dread, for the Father Himself loves you. He is our Father, and our Savior's Father, and we may delight ourselves in Him and magnify His name even as we ask for mercy. We do not come to a reluctant judge, but to a Father who knows what we require and who deals with us according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture tells us the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings.

We pray that the Lord will lay His pardoning and healing hand upon your father. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed on the Lord's people. As Christ said to the palsied man, pardon and healing were one, so we ask for both for your dear father, that if it be the Lord's will he may know the forgiveness of sins and the comfort of adoption, crying Abba, Father, and may know also bodily mercy.

We beseech our heavenly Father to bless your father with good health according to His perfect will, to remove all infection and inflammation from his body, to heal the sore on his toe, and to restore his feet and his kidneys. May the great Physician, who took our infirmities and who lifted up the sick by His own hand, touch him and raise him up. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, and we have such a Physician in Christ, who is able to heal and whose power is present to heal.

We leave your father in those faithful hands, trusting not in our own asking but in the Father's love and wisdom, saying with our Lord, Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Thy sight. May the Lord grant you peace as you wait upon Him, and may He be a better Father to you and to your father than the best of earthly fathers could ever be.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who has God exalted to be a Prince and a Saviour to give forgiveness and healing. Amen.

[Chrysostom]

We join you in prayer for your father and thank you for bringing him before the Lord with such love and faith.

We ask our heavenly Father, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, to have mercy on him and to grant him healing according to His good will. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray that God would remove infection and inflammation from his body, heal the sore on his toe, restore strength to his feet, and bring healing to his kidneys. We ask the Lord to guide the hands of those caring for him, to give wisdom to his doctors, and to grant him relief from pain, renewed strength, and good health.

We take comfort that God hears the prayers of His children and that He is near to those who call upon Him through His Son. Scripture reminds us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us, and that He is able to comfort us in every affliction. Continue to trust Him day by day, to seek Him in prayer, and to rest in His love and power to heal and sustain.

We pray with you that the Lord will touch your father, comfort him and your family with His peace, and be glorified in his recovery. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope and healer. Amen.
