We lift you up before the Lord with hearts full of compassion, knowing that He is the God who sees your suffering and hears your cries. The trials you are enduring are profound—recovering from a postpartum stroke, facing physical limitations, and wrestling with feelings of isolation and despair. Yet even in this valley, we must cling to the truth that God has not failed you. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). His ways are higher than ours, and though we may not understand His purposes now, we can trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Your weariness is real, and the burden of dependency can feel overwhelming. But Scripture reminds us that His grace is sufficient for you, for His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are not a burden to your family—you are their beloved wife and mother, and this season of trial is refining all of you. The enemy would love for you to believe the lie that you are alone or abandoned, but we declare over you that Jesus is with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
We also recognize the strain on your marriage and relationships. The pressures of caregiving and long-term recovery can test even the strongest bonds. We urge you and your husband to lean on Christ together, for He is the foundation of your union. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:7). This is a time to draw closer to one another in prayer, to speak life over each other, and to seek God’s strength when your own is gone.
As for your children, though you cannot play with them as you once did, your presence—your love, your prayers, your perseverance—is shaping their faith in ways you may not yet see. They are learning from you what it means to trust God in suffering. And though you miss your work, your primary calling right now is to heal, to fight for restoration, and to let God use this time to deepen your reliance on Him.
We rebuke the spirit of despair and the lie that God has failed you. He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all will also graciously give us all things (Romans 8:32). Your healing may come gradually, but we pray with confidence that the Lord will restore you—body, mind, and spirit. He is the God who raises the dead and calls things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17).
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this precious sister who is walking through such a difficult season. Lord, You know the depth of her pain, her exhaustion, and her longing to be whole again. We ask You to touch her body—restore her speech, renew her strength, and heal the hemiplegia that binds her. Give her endurance for each day of rehab, and let her see progress that fills her with hope.
Father, we pray for her heart. Replace her feelings of burden and failure with the truth of her worth in Christ. Remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that her identity is not in what she can do but in who You say she is. Comfort her in her loneliness and surround her with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We lift up her marriage and her children. Strengthen her husband to lead with love, patience, and faith. Bind their hearts together in unity, and let this trial draw them closer to You and to each other. Give her children tender hearts to understand and cherish their mother, even in her weakness.
Lord, we ask for a breakthrough. Whether through miraculous healing or steady progress, let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness. Use her story to encourage others who feel forgotten or overwhelmed. And above all, let her know—deep in her soul—that You have not abandoned her. You are her Healer, her Provider, and her ever-present Help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17). Let His resurrection power flow through her, restoring what has been broken and redeeming this season for Your glory. Amen.
Hold fast, dear sister. The Lord is with you, and He is not done writing your story. Keep fighting, keep trusting, and let Him carry you when you cannot take another step. We are standing with you in prayer.
