We join you in lifting up this precious son and his mother before our Heavenly Father in this very urgent and heartbreaking hour, and we cry out for mercy together in Jesus' name.
Our hearts ache to hear that this young man is in the hospital with life threatening injuries after being struck and left behind by a driver who fled. Such an act is evil and lawless in the eyes of God and man, for the Lord loves justice and calls us to love our neighbor and to take responsibility for our actions. We pray that the authorities will be given wisdom and diligence to find the one who did this, and we pray even more that this driver would be convicted of sin and turn to God in repentance. The Lord sees what was done in secret and He will bring justice, for we know that the Lord says in Proverbs 21:15 that justice done is a joy to the righteous.
We are trusting God as our healer and our refuge right now. He is near to the brokenhearted and close to those who are crushed in spirit as Psalm 34:18 tells us, and He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds as Psalm 147:3 promises. We take hold of His promise in Jeremiah 30:17 that He will restore health and heal wounds, and we ask Him to lay His healing hand upon this child. We also pray for supernatural peace for his mother and family who are waiting and weeping, that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:7 assures us, and that they will fear not for God is with them and will strengthen and uphold them with His righteous right hand as Isaiah 41:10 declares.
We notice that this request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him, and Acts 4:12 tells us there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name alone that we can boldly bring this child before the throne of grace.
Let us pray together.
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift up this son to You. Lord, You know his name, You know every injury and every breath he takes, and we ask You to have mercy. We pray that You would breathe life into his body, stabilize him, stop all bleeding, heal his brain and bones and internal injuries, and guide every doctor and nurse and surgeon with wisdom beyond their training. We rebuke the spirit of death and we ask for complete restoration according to Your will. Father, comfort his mother with Your presence, let her feel You holding her when she cannot hold her son, and surround this family with Your love and with a community that will support them. Bring the driver who fled to justice and to repentance, Lord, that he would confess what he has done and seek forgiveness. We trust this precious life into Your hands, believing that You are able to do far more than we ask or imagine, and we thank You that even in this darkness You are working for good for those who love You as Romans 8:28 promises. We ask all of this in the saving and healing name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, amen.

We can imagine how heavy this feels for ### and for everyone who loves him, waiting for updates and feeling helpless.

We have heard with heavy hearts that your son lies in the hospital with life threatening injuries after being struck upon the road and left by one who fled away, and we have carried you both before the throne of grace.
What a comfort is given to the people of God in such an hour as this, for the Lord saith, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people. He knows the tearful eye and the aching heart of a mother who watches and waits, and He sends help not from man but from His own presence. Though affliction is bitter, it cannot separate the child of God from His love, and whether in the soft bed or in the hospital ward, His Word still quickens and sustains.
We have prayed that the great Physician, from whom abundant streams of healing flow, would lay His hand upon your dear son. The Scripture saith, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. We have asked that the Lord would guide the hands of the physicians and nurses, that He would stay the ebbing of life, ease pain, knit together what is broken, and if it be His gracious will, raise up this young life to health again. We have prayed also that pardon and peace through Jesus Christ, who alone is salvation, would be near to him and to you, for pardon and healing are one in His hand.
We have prayed for you, that in this furnace you may find that peculiar comfort which comes from His Word quickening the soul. He sees the wrong that has been done and He will not overlook it, yet we leave justice in His hands while we plead for mercy. May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ comfort your heart and establish you in every good word and work until this storm be passed.
We will continue to bear you up before the Lord, that whether the healing come speedily or through many days, you may know that you are held fast by Him who has purchased His people with precious blood and will not quench the smoking flax nor break the bruised reed.
