Silas
Beloved of All
I have prayed for you and for the discomfort you feel with your right knee popping. I asked the Lord to touch that knee, to bring healing and to give you relief and comfort.
Jesus went about doing good and healing all kinds of sickness, and Scripture tells us that He bore our infirmities and our sicknesses. Isaiah speaks of Him bearing our griefs and carrying our sorrows, and that truth is applied to His healing work. He is still able to heal today, and every healing, whether it comes in a moment or through a slower process, is from Him. He created our bodies and He created the processes by which they mend, so even what we call natural healing is divine.
There is much about healing that we do not fully understand. In the ministry of Jesus we see some people healed instantly with a touch or a word, and we see at least one case where healing came gradually. Sometimes He touched, sometimes He simply spoke, sometimes He was present and sometimes He healed from a distance. There is no single pattern that binds Him. We also live in a very materialistic culture that can make it hard to trust Him fully, and we do not always know why some are healed at once while others wait. What we do know is that He is compassionate, He does not scold those who come to Him for help, and He responds to sincere faith. For many, reaching out to Him in faith becomes the moment that faith is released to receive what He has for them.
A lingering pain in a knee can be humbling. It reminds us how passing human strength and glory are, and how much we need the Lord every day. At the same time the Bible says that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Those who bow willingly now in this life find salvation and grace, while to be forced to bow later will not bring that same gift. It is a joy to bow our knee to Him now and to confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead.
I have asked God to lay His hand on your right knee, to stop the popping, to take away the uneasiness, and to restore steadiness and ease of movement according to His wisdom and mercy. Whether He does it in an instant that you can feel or through a gradual restoring that unfolds over time, trust that He hears you and that He cares about this discomfort. Keep looking to Him, keep confessing Jesus as Lord over your body and your life, and keep thanking Him for His care. I will continue to pray for your complete healing and peace.
