We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up your mother’s health before the throne of grace. Black stool can be a sign of internal bleeding or other serious medical concerns, and we take this matter with the utmost seriousness. The Lord is our Healer, and we stand in faith for her complete restoration, trusting in His power to bring healing to every part of her body.

First, we must acknowledge that God works through both miraculous healing and the wisdom He provides to medical professionals. We pray that if she has not already done so, your mother would seek immediate medical attention to determine the cause of this issue. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-8, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones." We pray for wisdom for her doctors, that they would be guided by the Holy Spirit to diagnose and treat her with excellence.

We also rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that may be afflicting her body. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, and by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We declare that her digestive system is being restored, that any bleeding or abnormality is stopped, and that her stool returns to its normal, healthy color. We speak life over her stomach, intestines, and every organ involved in digestion, commanding them to function as God designed them to.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician. We lift up this precious mother to You, asking for Your healing touch to be upon her. Lord, You know every detail of her body, and You see the concern in our hearts. We ask that You would stop any internal bleeding, heal any ulcers, inflammation, or other issues causing this symptom, and restore her digestive system to full health. We declare that her stool will return to a normal, healthy color as a sign of Your healing power at work within her.

Father, we also pray for peace and comfort for her and her family during this time. May they feel Your presence surrounding them, reminding them that You are in control. Give them faith to trust in Your timing and Your plan, even as they seek medical help. We ask that You would guide the hands of her doctors and nurses, giving them wisdom and clarity as they care for her.

Lord, we rebuke any fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be trying to take root in their hearts. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we choose to stand on Your promises of healing and restoration. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving on her behalf. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness to complete the work You have begun in her.

In the name of Jesus Christ, who bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to remain steadfast in faith, even as you pursue medical care. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we believe He is working on your mother’s behalf. Keep trusting in Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9). Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet and the knife. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ our Lord; even the leaves of that blessed Tree are for the healing of the nations, how much more its fruit! You plead in the name of Jesus Christ, and rightly so, for He took Peter's wife's mother by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever fled at once. That same almighty hand is stretched forth still. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and He is able to heal every malady of the body. Cry to Him for your mother, and trust that the healing virtue which His grace infuses will work health and cure. Continue under the sound of His Word, for faith comes by hearing, and seasons of healing often attend the teaching of Christ. May the Lord rebuke this infirmity of her stomach, turning that which is dark and disordered into what is wholesome and strong, for His own name's sake. Amen.

The Lord Jesus, who touched Peter's mother-in-law and raised her at once from fever to full strength, is fully able to heal your mother's stomach and turn that which is dark into the sign of true health. Yet consider the Apostle Paul's care for his own beloved Timothy. Timothy suffered often with infirmities of the stomach, and Paul did not simply speak a word of miraculous healing, though he had power to raise the dead with his garment. Instead, he gave a practical command: "Use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thy often infirmities." This he did, not from any lack of power, but to teach us that even the most virtuous may remain subject to the rules of medicine, lest they become proud and we be offended. So pray with all earnestness for your mother, calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, and do not neglect the physician. Frugality and a plain table are the mother of health; examine also whether any excess has burdened that stomach. For God works through both prayer and the natural means He has provided. Trust in His mercy, which overflows like a calm and safe sea, and may He grant your mother a swift return to soundness of body, that she may glorify Him.

You are doing exactly what Scripture invites us to do, bringing a real, urgent need straight to the throne with a childlike heart. That kind of honest plea, “Heal my mom’s black poop to brown poop,” might seem simple to some, but it reaches the ear of the One who numbers every hair on her head and knows every detail of her body. You are calling on the name of Jesus, which is the only place we find true authority and healing.

That instinct to run to prayer first is a precious gift. So often we treat prayer like a spare tire, something we grab only when everything else has failed. You’re not doing that. You’re making it the engine, and that’s where strength is found. Even Jesus, the Son of God, drew his strength through prayer, consistently retreating to the Father. If he knew he couldn’t get by without it, we can be certain we can’t either. The very act of bringing this to the Lord is already placing you in the position to receive his strength, no matter what the immediate outcome looks like.

That black stool is a sign of bleeding somewhere inside, and we ask the Lord, Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, to touch her digestive system completely. We want her body to work as he designed it, with every organ functioning properly, so that this frightening symptom is replaced by a healthy, normal sign of life. We agree together for that right now. Scripture tells us that the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. That desperate, from-the-gut kind of prayer you’re offering, that’s the one that moves things.

Now let’s also remember the purpose of prayer isn’t to bend God’s arm until he gives in. The purpose is to get his will done on earth, right in your mom’s stomach. So while we pray for total healing, we also place your mother and this whole situation into his perfect will. His ways are higher than ours. Sometimes he heals instantly and miraculously. Other times, like the Apostle Paul, the answer comes back, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Our ultimate safety net is not just the healing, but the Healer himself.

As you keep praying, let the Spirit minister comfort to your heart. Prayer is not just a list of requests; it’s a place of rest and assurance. It’s the meeting place where God’s desires become our own. Keep persisting. Ask others to stand with you in agreement, because the Lord honors united prayer. Do not let go of that faith, but also let your prayer lift the entire burden into his hands, trusting that he will do what is right and good. We stand with you for her complete recovery.
