Heal my left arm and no more wet over my head.

We come before the Lord with your concerns, lifting up your left arm in prayer and seeking understanding about the troubling experience of water over your head while you sleep. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We believe in the power of prayer and the healing touch of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

First, we want to address the physical pain in your left arm. Heavenly Father, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this dear one. Your Word declares in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We pray for complete restoration and strength in this arm, that it may be free from pain and fully functional according to Your will. Lord, we trust in Your power to heal and ask that You would bring comfort and relief.

Regarding the mysterious experience of water over your head while sleeping, we encourage you to seek the Lord for wisdom and discernment. The Bible says in 1 John 4:1, "Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." It is important to pray for protection and ask God to reveal the source of this disturbance. We rebuke any spiritual oppression or attack in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your Word assures us in Psalm 91:4-5, "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day."

Heavenly Father, we also pray for Your divine protection as this dear one sleeps. We ask that You would surround them with Your angels, as it says in Psalm 34:7, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them." Lord, grant peaceful and undisturbed rest, free from any fear or disturbance. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, according to Isaiah 54:17.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this precious child of Yours, asking for Your healing touch upon their left arm. Lord, we believe in Your power to restore and make whole. We ask that You would remove every trace of pain and bring complete healing.

Father, we also ask for Your divine protection and wisdom concerning the troubling experience of water over their head while sleeping. We rebuke any form of spiritual attack or oppression in Jesus' name. Lord, surround them with Your angels, grant them peaceful sleep, and reveal to them the source of this disturbance so that it can be addressed according to Your will.

We trust in Your promises, Lord, and we know that You are faithful to watch over Your children. Thank You for Your love, Your protection, and Your healing power. We give You all the glory and honor, in Jesus' name we pray, Amen."

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and pray with you. Remember, the name of Jesus is powerful and above every other name. As it says in Philippians 2:9-11, "Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord's protection and healing.

We hear you, and we care about both things you brought -- the pain in your left arm and the unsettling experience of sensing water over your head while you sleep. That combination would leave anyone feeling confused and weary.

Pain has a way of wearing us down, and unexplained sensations during sleep can feel vulnerable. We're grateful you reached out so honestly. When something physical is happening that we don't understand, wisdom often includes both prayer and practical steps. If your left arm pain has been lingering or is sharp, we'd gently encourage you to get it looked at by a doctor -- not instead of asking God for healing, but alongside that trust. And if the water-over-your-head experience during sleep is something that keeps happening, a doctor can also help evaluate whether a sleep study or assessment would give you answers. Many sleep conditions are treatable, and there's no shame in seeking that clarity.

Beyond the physical, we simply want you to know you're not alone in this. The night can feel isolating, but Christ is present with you even when sleep is strange and your body aches. You don't need to have everything figured out to rest in His care.

Let's pray:

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend to You. You know exactly what's happening in their body and during their sleep -- nothing is hidden from You. We ask for relief from this arm pain, for healing in whatever is causing it. We ask for peaceful, undisturbed sleep, free from frightening sensations. Give wisdom to any doctors they speak with, and give our friend courage to take next steps. Most of all, quiet their heart with Your presence tonight. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The arm in its pain cries out, and the head disturbed with water knows its own distress. Be not quick to think such trials are without purpose or distant from mercy. The very limbs that ache and the rest that is interrupted become occasions for the Lord to arise as your arm every morning and your salvation in trouble. When lesser comforts fail, the Comforter Himself draws near. Cry out with the palsied man’s faith, “I believe Jesus will heal me. I believe He will have mercy upon me, get me to Him!” And there, in His presence, healing waits.

Consider how the tree of life bears leaves that are for healing, the least thing about Christ, a single word recognized as His, carries virtue that surpasses all earthly potions. The water that disturbed your sleep is known to Him who set bounds for the sea and gave sleep to His beloved even in a storm-tossed vessel. There is a sleep of security where the wolf howls and the robber lurks, yet the child of God rests because the Keeper of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. Ask that this sleep be yours, not the slumber of indifference, but the quiet trust that casts every wet affliction and each sharp pain upon the Lord who giveth His beloved sleep in Jesus.

Do you see how the Master joined healing with teaching and forgiveness with the command to rise? He did not rush like a surgeon hacking limbs. He comes gently, speaking peace before strength. The sin-bearer carries the burden of your whole frame. Original wounds and present agonies are not too scattered for His hand. One cry in the name of Jesus Christ reaches the throne where pardon and healing flow together from the same pierced side. The palsied man heard “Thy sins be forgiven thee” before his limbs received power. Inward peace steals over the face that still lies in the hammock of affliction, transfiguring it with a joy the world cannot give. That joy is your portion even now, while the arm throbs and the mystery unsettles.

Bring your measure to the hearing. With what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you. Seek solid truth and full healing, not a mere cessation of symptoms, and the God of all grace will multiply the blessing a hundredfold. The water over your head in sleep is not beyond the sound of that voice which rebuked the wind and the waves. The pain in your left arm is not hidden from the eyes that noticed one hem-touch in a pressing crowd. Be of good cheer. Forgiveness and healing are twin gifts bestowed when looked for and when unexpected. Spring up, O well, and let the stream that flows from the sanctuary reach even to the Dead Sea of this present trouble. Peace be to your spirit, health to your frame, and the sweet sleep of the beloved be yours, awake or resting, in Jesus Christ alone.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The pain in your left arm and the water you feel over your head as you sleep are burdens that weigh heavily upon you, but remember that nothing better than affliction not above measure can purify the soul. You cry out to Jesus Christ for healing, and rightly so, for He who became man for you left nothing undone in His care. Yet while your body rests, let not your soul slumber. The night was not made only for sleep; rise up within your heart, and behold the deep silence, the stars like ten thousand eyes: then your soul becomes lighter, purer, more awake to God. When pain keeps you from rest, turn your sleeplessness into prayer, as the early Christians did, singing hymns in the midst of the night, and your chamber will be a church.

Let this affliction shake you from that far graver sleep of the soul, which neglects virtue and leaves the door unguarded for the thief. The Day of the Lord steals upon us suddenly if we are sleeping; but if you watch and are sober, it will come not as a thief but as a royal messenger summoning you to blessings. Pull up the thorns of worldly care that drug you, and let this nightly disturbance remind you that sleep is the image of death, and that all those who now shout and grasp in the daytime lie as one dead in the dark. Thus your pain becomes a teacher, keeping you alert to the end of all things.

As for your arm, cry out to the Lord, and if it be His will, the pain will depart. But even if it remains, endure it as medicine, for ungrateful souls receive no benefit from His fostering care. Instead of complaining, grieve here in reflection over your sins, that you may not grieve yonder in punishment. Think how many lie unconscious in their beds, while you are kept awake by God’s mercy; perhaps He calls you to intercessions you would otherwise have neglected. Let the water over your head remind you of baptism, of being buried with Christ, and the arm’s pain a prompt to lift up holy hands. So, watchful and pure, you will be made worthy of our Head, to meet the Lord in the air and ever be with Him, to behold His glory, where pain and sorrow and sighing are fled away, in Christ Jesus our Lord, to whom be glory and power for ever. Amen.
