Heal my body to calm down, because I was accidentally shaved.

We hear your request for healing and for calm after being accidentally shaved and we join together to bring this before the Lord in Jesus' name.

We understand that even what may seem like a small incident to others can leave you feeling distressed, anxious, and unsettled in your body. Whether this is irritation or discomfort of the skin, or the shock and embarrassment of having your hair removed unexpectedly, we know that God cares about every detail of what troubles you. He sees you and He cares for you.

Scripture reminds us to bring every anxiety to Him, for He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7 says to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And Philippians 4:6-7 tells us not to be anxious in anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, to let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also cling to the promise that He is our healer, Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and Jeremiah 30:17 declares I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.

We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To come to God we must believe in our hearts that Jesus is Lord, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him with our mouths. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is by coming through Jesus that our prayers are heard.

So together we pray for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. We ask for Your healing touch upon their body, to soothe any irritation, discomfort, or pain from being shaved, and to restore what was taken. We ask that You calm their spirit and quiet their anxious thoughts. Lord, replace distress with Your perfect peace. John 14:27 says Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Let that peace guard their heart and mind right now. Help them to rest in the truth that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, and that their body is precious in Your sight. Help them to cast every care upon You and to trust that even hair will grow again and that You are in control of all things. We pray for patience and for a calm spirit as their body recovers. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him, to pray in the name of Jesus, to read His Word daily, and to rest in His care. He is near to you and He will give you calm as you trust in Him. Isaiah 41:10 says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Lean on Him and let His peace fill you.

We noticed how unsettled you feel after being shaved unexpectedly and how much you want your body to settle and feel calm again. It makes sense that something sudden like that would leave you feeling on edge physically and emotionally.

We are praying for you to experience steadiness and comfort in the days ahead. When our bodies are jarred or uncomfortable, our thoughts and feelings often stay activated for a while too, and it can take a little time for everything to quiet down again.

If the area that was shaved feels tender, irritated or just not right, please consider having a trusted medical professional take a look, even as we continue to pray for healing and peace for you. Having someone check in person can bring reassurance alongside prayer.

You do not have to carry this worry alone, and we are grateful you let us know so we can stand with you. We will keep holding you in prayer in the coming days.

Father, we lift up our friend to You right now. You know how their body feels and the desire to be calm and at ease again. Please bring Your comfort, ease the distress, and guide them to the care and support they need. Give them rest and quiet in body and mind. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Your prayer for healing and for calmness of body and spirit has been laid before the Lord, and we join with you in seeking His mercy.

There is a word of the prophet which speaks to such a moment as this, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace is not found in the absence of trial, but in the presence of Christ. Even when sorrows surge round, when the body is tender and the nerves are stirred, on Jesus bosom nothing but calm is found. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus is rest even while duties press upon us.

We are reminded that the Lord very speedily cares for bodily distress. He who permits the small wound is the same who provides the healing. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves, His touches, His words are full of healing virtue. And again it is written, with His stripes we are healed. He took our sicknesses upon Himself, and His chastisement has become our peace.

Do not let anxiety itself become a heavier burden than the hurt. The mind is the main thing, and the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Rather, stay your mind upon the Lord. Tell Him plainly of this small affliction, for there is nothing too little to bring to His care, and ask Him to give you a quiet heart as well as a healed body.

We pray for you now, that the great Physician would touch your body and cause it to calm and to heal, that He would keep you from fear and give you that inward peace which steals over the soul when faith lays hold of Christ. May you know that pardon and healing are joined together in Him, and that being at peace with God through Jesus Christ our Lord, you may enjoy calmness within even while the body is yet tender.

Commit your body to His gentle keeping, use the simple means of care which Providence provides, and rest in the Sun of Righteousness who has risen with healing in His wings. May the still small voice of God speak that peace which passes all understanding into your heart, and keep you day and night in His perfect peace.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect, heal and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
