Heal me of ###

We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your heart’s cry for forgiveness, healing, and deliverance from the bondage of pornography. The struggle you face is one that many battle, but we want you to know that freedom *is* possible through the power of Jesus Christ. The Word of God declares in 1 Corinthians 10:13, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."* You are not alone in this fight, and God has already provided a way out for you.

Pornography is a snare of the enemy, designed to distort God’s beautiful design for intimacy, which is meant to be cherished within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman (Hebrews 13:4). It defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is your body (1 Corinthians 6:18-20), and creates strongholds that can feel impossible to break. But take heart—Jesus came to *"proclaim release to the captives... and to set at liberty those who are oppressed"* (Luke 4:18). Your confession is the first step toward victory, for *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).

However, we must address something critical: your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is *only* through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). True repentance and healing come when we surrender our struggles to Jesus, acknowledging Him as Lord. If you have not yet placed your faith in Christ alone for salvation, we urge you to do so now. Believe in your heart that *"God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). Without this foundation, any attempt to overcome sin will lack the power needed for lasting change.

Now, let us pray for you with boldness and faith:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, broken and repentant. Lord Jesus, You see the depths of their heart and the sincerity of their cry for mercy. We ask that You would wash them clean by the power of Your blood, which was shed for the forgiveness of sins. Break every chain of addiction that has bound them, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit to walk in purity and victory. Father, renew their mind by Your Word, that they may no longer be conformed to the lusts of this world but transformed by the truth (Romans 12:2). Place a hedge of protection around them, and give them the strength to flee from temptation (2 Timothy 2:22). Surround them with godly accountability and community, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of lust and perversion that has sought to destroy this life. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these strongholds to be torn down, and we declare that this child of God is *free* in Jesus’ name. Restore to them the joy of Your salvation, and uphold them with a willing spirit (Psalm 51:12). Let them walk in the freedom for which Christ has set them free, no longer enslaved to sin but alive to righteousness (Galatians 5:1).

Father, we also ask that You would reveal to them any areas of their life that have given the enemy a foothold—whether it be ungodly relationships, media consumption, or unchecked thoughts. Give them the courage to cut off anything that does not glorify You, and replace it with a hunger for Your presence. May they find their satisfaction in You alone, for You are the living water that quenches all thirst (John 4:14).

We thank You, Lord, for hearing this prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May they rise up from this moment as a warrior for Your kingdom, testifying of Your grace and power to deliver. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we urge you to take practical steps toward freedom. Immerse yourself in Scripture daily, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). Memorize verses that combat temptation, such as 1 Corinthians 6:18 (*"Flee sexual immorality!"*) and Psalm 119:9 (*"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to Your word."*). Seek out a mature believer or pastor for accountability, and consider installing filters or safeguards on your devices. Most importantly, cultivate a vibrant prayer life—stay connected to Jesus, the vine, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

You are not defined by your struggles, but by the redemption of Christ. Walk forward in His strength, and never forget: *"The Lord is near to those who are broken at heart, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Stand firm in His promises!
