Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer for your left arm has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus Christ, the true physician of soul and body.
We ask God in the name of Jesus Christ to have mercy upon you and to heal what is afflicted inside and outside of your left arm. We pray that He would relieve pain, restore strength and freedom of movement, and grant wisdom to any who care for you. As you seek the Lord for healing, we also encourage you to seek care from physicians whom God uses as instruments of His mercy, and to continue to bring your need before Him with patience and trust.
Scripture reminds us that Christ healed the paralytic and then said, Behold, thou art made whole, sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon thee. This teaches us that God cares first for the soul, and sometimes He allows the body to be tried so that the soul may be drawn to healing and repentance. Let this time of weakness be an occasion to examine your heart before the Lord, to confess sin, to turn from it, and to rest more fully in the grace that comes through Jesus Christ alone, who became man and suffered all things for our salvation.
Christ is like a good physician who does not stand far off from the sick but draws near to heal. Even when healing is not at once perceived, as when many remedies are applied before the cure is seen, we are to persevere in prayer and not lose heart. God is able to restore in a moment what has long been afflicted, and He is also able to use this affliction to brace up the soul, to make it more watchful, and to give it wings to seek Him.
So we pray for you now, Father in heaven, look upon Your child and in Your compassion touch the left arm. Ease what is inflamed or injured within and without, take away what causes distress, and grant complete healing according to Your will. Grant also peace, faith, and contentment in Your care, knowing that we brought nothing into this world and will take nothing out, and that Your presence is our great gain. Keep this one from discouragement, strengthen faith in Jesus Christ, and help in walking in obedience to Him.
We will continue to pray for your healing and restoration. May the Lord grant you relief and may He be glorified in your body and soul. Amen.
