We join with you in lifting up your father to the Lord, standing on the promise of Hebrews 4:16, which reminds us to approach God’s throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace in our time of need. It is beautiful that you are seeking the Lord’s healing power for your father, and we stand in agreement with you, knowing that our God is a God of miracles, restoration, and wholeness. However, we must gently address that the name of Jesus Christ is not just a closing phrase but the very foundation of our access to God. It is through faith in Jesus alone that we are saved, and it is in His name that we pray. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Let us always remember that our prayers are heard because of Jesus, who intercedes for us before the Father.
We also want to encourage you to trust in God’s sovereignty. While we boldly ask for healing, we submit to His perfect will, knowing that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Whether He heals instantly, gradually, or ultimately in eternity, we can trust that His plan is good. Let us also remember that sickness, while painful, can be used by God to draw us closer to Him, to refine our faith, and to testify to His grace. Job, in his suffering, declared, *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him"* (Job 13:15, WEB). Our hope is not just in physical healing but in the eternal hope we have in Christ.
That said, we join you in praying for your father’s complete restoration. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command every sickness—diabetes, neuropathy, pain, tingling, and stiffness—to leave his body in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for the restoration of his feet, kidneys, nerves, ligaments, muscles, and bones, that they would be made whole and strong. May the Lord renew his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31) and fill him with energy, favor, and success in all he does.
Let us also pray for your father’s faith to be strengthened during this time. May he fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of his faith (Hebrews 12:2), and may he experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We ask that the Lord would surround your family with His presence, comfort, and provision, and that your home would be a place of refuge, free from the influence of the enemy.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord not just for healing but for a deeper relationship with Him. Let this season be one where your family draws nearer to God, trusting in His goodness and resting in His promises. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this father to You. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch his body. Rebuke the diabetes that has afflicted him and restore his kidneys to full function. Command healing into his feet—let every nerve, ligament, muscle, and bone be renewed and strengthened. Remove all pain, tingling, and stiffness, and let him walk with ease and confidence once more. We speak against every evil spirit that would seek to bring harm or infirmity, and we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill him with Your strength, energy, and favor, and let his life be a testimony of Your goodness and power.
Lord, we also ask that You would draw him closer to You through this trial. May he know Your presence in a deeper way and trust in Your unfailing love. Surround this family with Your peace and protection, and let their home be a sanctuary where Your name is honored. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, knowing that You hear us and that Your will is perfect. Amen.
