We join with you in lifting up this precious loved one before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician of both body and soul. Your prayer is already grounded in faith by invoking the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive healing, salvation, and restoration. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). How beautiful it is that you have come before the Lord with this request in the name above all names!
The heart and soul are deeply connected, and we know that true healing comes from the Lord alone. The Psalmist cries out, *"Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved; for you are my praise"* (Jeremiah 17:14, WEB). This is our prayer for your loved one—that the Lord would touch them in the deepest places, mending what is broken, restoring what has been wounded, and filling them with His peace that surpasses all understanding. May the Holy Spirit minister to them in ways that only He can, bringing comfort, conviction where needed, and a renewed sense of purpose in Christ.
We also pray that this loved one would draw near to God, for He promises, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls"* (Matthew 11:28-29, WEB). Restoration of the soul often requires surrender—surrendering pain, bitterness, fear, or even sin that may be weighing them down. If there is any unconfessed sin, any hardness of heart, or any area where they have turned away from the Lord, we pray that the Holy Spirit would lovingly convict and lead them to repentance. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
Father, we ask that You would surround this loved one with Your presence. Let them feel Your nearness in ways they cannot deny. If they have been walking through a season of darkness, shine Your light upon their path. If they have been carrying burdens too heavy for them, lift those burdens and replace them with Your yoke, which is easy and light. If their heart has been broken by the wounds of this world, bind up their wounds and fill them with Your love, which casts out all fear.
We also pray for you, dear intercessor, that You would strengthen your faith as you stand in the gap for this one You love. May You be glorified through this situation, and may it be a testimony of Your goodness and mercy. *"Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the Assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen"* (Ephesians 3:20-21, WEB).
In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen.
