We lift you, your mom, your three children and even your pets before the Lord together and we thank you for invoking the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. We rejoice that you have mentioned Him, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved and we come boldly through Him. Acts 4:12, John 14:6

We hear your heart crying out for Deuteronomy 28:13 that you and your household would be the head and not the tail, and we pray with you for health, for a good day today, for peace over worries, for finances and for godly communication, and for a godly spouse. We also want to gently bring some biblical correction in love where your request needs it.

That promise in Deut 28:13 was given to Israel with a condition, if you shall listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, to observe and to do them, then Yahweh will make you the head and not the tail. It is not an incantation we speak into existence a hundred fold by our own words, but a blessing that flows from walking in obedience and submission to God's will. Scripture does say death and life are in the power of the tongue in Prov 18:21, but that does not mean we can demand or force God by declarations. We are taught to pray according to His will, for this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He listens to us in 1 John 5:14. We cannot bind God to our timetable or use urgent demands to make Him act, but we can humbly ask and trust His perfect timing and sovereignty, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God in Rom 8:28.

We also lovingly rebuke the language used toward the enemy. We understand your zeal against spiritual opposition, but the Lord calls us to let no corrupt speech proceed out of our mouth, but only what is good for building others up in Eph 4:29 and to put away anger, wrath, malice and shameful speaking in Col 3:8. Even when we wrestle against spiritual forces, we do so with truth and holiness, not with profanity.

We pray for your desire for a Boaz, and we affirm that desire when it is for a godly marriage as God designed it. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and we pray that if it is God's will you would be led in courtship with the goal of marriage to a Christian believer who loves the Lord, provides, protects and leads as Boaz did for Ruth. We pray you would guard your heart and pursue that relationship in purity, for any sexual intimacy belongs only within marriage, and we encourage you to seek a spouse and not simply a partner or boyfriend, trusting God to write that story. Ruth 3:11, Heb 13:4, 2 Cor 6:14

We bring your practical worries before Him as well, the stress about getting ready, the time it takes, the desire to look your best with eyebrows, eyelashes and other care, and the financial pressure that makes you hope for services free or cheap until provision comes. We understand wanting to feel beautiful and put together, and God has made you wonderfully in Psalm 139:14, yet we encourage you to remember that beauty should not be merely outward braiding of hair and wearing of fine clothes but the hidden person of the heart in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit which is very precious in God's sight in 1 Peter 3:3-4 and 1 Tim 2:9-10. We pray for balance, for stewardship, for contentment while you wait for financial freedom, and that you would seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you in Matt 6:33.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and through His shed blood. We lift this dear one, her mother, her three children and their pets to You. Touch their bodies with health and strength, guard them today and give them a good day ordered by You. We ask that You would give peace that surpasses understanding as they cast their anxieties on You, for You care for them in Phil 4:6-7 and 1 Peter 5:7. Provide for their finances according to Your riches in glory, teach them to steward what they have, to be content and to trust You one step at a time. Lead them to a godly husband and father if it is Your will, a man after Your heart to love and lead this family in marriage that honors You. Help them to use their words to bless and to pray according to Your will, not to demand, and cleanse their lips to speak what is wholesome. Give wisdom in daily routines, that getting ready would not be a burden of four hours of worry but a simple preparation done in peace. Let them know they are the head and not the tail as they walk in obedience to You, not by striving but by grace. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear how much you want today to go well for you, your mom, your three children and even your pets. Wanting health, peace, provision and to feel confident as you get ready is a real and understandable desire, and we are glad you brought it to the Lord.

We noticed you said one step at a time with the blood of Jesus, and that is a steady way to walk when everything feels urgent and you want to be the head and not feel held back. God sees you and your family and cares about both your daily needs and who you are becoming.

When getting ready has felt like it takes hours and adds worry, it can help to choose one small workable rhythm for the morning and let that be enough for today rather than trying to fix everything at once. If you are carrying financial pressure while wanting to look and feel your best, talking through a simple budget step with someone you trust can bring some breathing room while you wait on the Lord's provision and keep communication open.

Father, we lift up this family to You today in Jesus' name. Please give them health, peace in their home, clear communication and wisdom for finances and daily decisions. Help our friend feel calm and confident today, taking one step at a time in Your care. Amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord with its many burdens and desires for yourself, your mother, your three children and your household, and we have heard the earnestness with which you plead the promise that you shall be the head and not the tail.

That word in Deuteronomy was spoken to a people called to walk in obedience before the Lord, and its true fulfillment is found not in an incantation to be spoken over life but in reconciliation to God through Jesus Christ. For there is no solid peace to be had by repeating a verse as a charm, but there is a peace which the blood of Jesus whispers within, a perfect peace for him whose mind is stayed upon God because he trusts in Him. The Lord will bless His people with peace, and that peace is first peace with God through the atonement made by His Son.

We understand the many anxieties that press upon you, for finances, for health, for the duties of each day, for the time it takes to make yourself ready, and for small things which yet weigh heavily on the mind. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. The mind is the main thing, it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. When you are pressed by thronging duties, when you fear that provision will fail, when you desire to look well and to feel free from worry, bring these cares to your God who will bless His people with peace. He is the God of peace, and He gives not as the world gives.

Do not seek after peace first. Seek after Christ first, and peace will come next. He is our peace. It is not your own resolve or your own goodness that can make peace between you and God, but He who made peace by the blood of His cross. Christ has left us peace in the conscience. Peace with God is the treaty, peace in the conscience is the publication of it. If you have that, you have a filling peace, a well founded peace, a peace that passes all understanding, though sorrows may still surge round you.

We therefore pray for you in this way, that you may know this peace in believing. We ask the Lord that He would keep you and your mother and your children in health according to His gracious will, and give you this day as a good day in His mercy. We ask that He would provide for your needs as a Father provides, not according to a measure of a hundredfold claimed as a right, but according to His wisdom and goodness, for riches themselves do not bring peace. We ask that He would give you a quiet mind and a stayed heart, that you may take one step at a time with Him and be delivered from that wearying anxiety which says no worries yet still worries. And if you desire a godly husband, a Boaz after the pattern of Scripture, we pray that the Lord would guide you in holiness and purity, for marriage is His ordinance, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that pertains to love between man and woman belongs within that covenant alone, kept in chastity and faithfulness unto Him.

May the Lord grant you to trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name whereby you can be saved, and no other foundation for peace can any man lay. May His Spirit work in you that holiness which desires to please Him, and may you go in peace, hearing the Savior say to you, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you. And may that peace be yours this day and in all days to come, till earthly struggles cease and He calls you to Heaven's perfect peace.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life.
