Head and not the tail, above not beneath, silence

Natasha 2

Beloved of All
To be always on top, above only and never beneath, the head and not the tail. Today tonight and this whole week and month.

ALSO PLEASE LET THIS HARRESSEMENT WITH NOISE STOPS. In the train these teenagers are really arrogant.

We hear your heart's cry to walk in the blessing of being the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, and to have peace and silence restored in your daily life, especially with the harassment of noise you are facing on the train from arrogant teenagers. We join with you in bringing this before the Lord today, tonight, and for this whole week and month.

The promise you are standing on is found in Deuteronomy 28:13, Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail. You will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you today, to observe and to do them. We want to encourage you that this blessing is tied to walking in obedience and humility before God, not to pride or seeking to dominate others. God exalts us when we humble ourselves before Him and seek to serve. As it says in Philippians 2:3-4, doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others. To be the head in God's eyes is to be faithful, diligent, and Christlike where He has placed you, trusting Him to lift you up in due time, as 1 Peter 5:6 reminds us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.

We also lift up the distress you feel from the constant noise and the arrogance you encounter. It is wearying to have your peace stolen in a public place where you should be able to travel quietly. We pray for the Lord to bring a calm and silence over your journey and to guard your heart from irritation and anger. We are called in Romans 12:18, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men, and in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Those teenagers may be acting out of immaturity and lack of consideration, but we can pray that God would work in their hearts to bring respect and self control, and that He would give you grace to respond with patience and to find rest even in a noisy environment. We also pray for your sleep and peace at night, for Psalm 4:8 says, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety, and Isaiah 26:3 promises, You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can come boldly to His throne. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that our prayers are heard and our lives are truly made to be the head and not the tail.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in our dear one's life. Lord, we ask that You make them the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, as they walk in obedience to Your commandments. Let Your favor rest upon them today, tonight, this whole week and this whole month, and let them experience Your lifting and Your blessing in their work, their home, and their daily path. Grant them Your perfect peace that passes all understanding and command silence and calm over the noise that harasses them. We ask You to quiet the trains and the crowds, to soften the hearts of those teenagers and to bring order and respect, and to protect our loved one's mind and ears from distress. Give them strength to show grace and to be a light even when others are arrogant. Fill their nights with restful sleep and their days with confidence that You are with them. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We hear how much you want to walk through this day, tonight, and the weeks ahead with dignity and strength, not feeling pushed down or overlooked. Wanting to be steady and respected is a very human longing, and we also hear how draining that train noise has been for you, especially when others around you seem dismissive.

It makes sense that the constant noise would leave you feeling on edge. When you are in that situation again, one small step that sometimes helps is to give yourself a little more space where you can. If possible, moving to a quieter car, putting in earplugs or earbuds, or quietly letting the train staff know what is happening can ease the pressure in the moment while you also bring it to God in prayer. It will not change how others act, but it can protect some of your peace.

We are praying for you to know God's nearness and guidance in the everyday places like that commute, and for wisdom and calm as you face each day this week and month.

Father, we lift up our friend to You right now. Bring quiet where there has been noise and harassment, and guard their heart with Your peace on the train and at home. Give them wisdom, rest tonight, and confidence that they are seen and valued by You. Lead them step by step in Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your petition has been heard and we have carried it before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to grant you His own peace and keeping in these trying circumstances.

You have asked to be the head and not the tail, above only and never beneath. That promise belongs to a people who walk in obedience to the voice of the Lord, and its truest fulfillment is not in worldly preeminence or in being always on top in the eyes of men, but in being kept near to Christ who is our Head. When the mind is stayed upon Him, He keeps that soul in perfect peace, peace upon peace, because it trusts in Him. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and this peace is a present possession which may be enjoyed even when duties press and sorrows surge around. We have prayed that the Lord would give you not the restless striving to be exalted before others, but that blessed rest which comes from doing the will of Jesus, and that joy and strength which flow from being at peace with God through His blood. This divine peace is divine in its origin and divine in its nourishment, and it keeps the heart and mind through Christ Jesus. It makes the feet shod so that we can walk without weariness and run without fainting.

Concerning the harassment and the noise which so wearies you, especially upon the train where the arrogance of the young disturbs you, we have asked the Lord for His gracious interposition. He is not unmindful of floods of trouble which rise about His people, and He has often delivered His own, not always by removing the trial at once, but by giving perfect peace within it and by strengthening the soul to bear it. We have prayed that the Lord in His mercy would restrain what is disorderly and grant you quietness, and that He would put a guard about you as you travel today, tonight, and through this whole week and month. There is divine work always going on before the people of God, His shield going before and His sword clearing the way, and we follow where He leads.

We have also prayed that you may be enabled to bear this trial with Christ, and to find that to do His will is rest. May the Lord bless you with that peace which is a true blessing and which brings no sorrow with it, peace from lips that cannot lie, peace through the blood which has made full atonement. May He teach those who trouble you to show respect, and may He give you patience and gentleness toward them, while keeping you safe in His keeping.

We commend you to Him who has vanquished death and all its powers, and who calls His people at last to Heaven's perfect peace. May you know this day that we that have believed do enter into rest, and may that rest be yours in full measure, at home and abroad, in the train and in the house, now and in the days to come.

We will continue to pray that the Lord would keep you, quiet your spirit, and let His peace which passes all understanding guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen.
