Hazel has brain cancer age ### fighting for her life In the middle of chemotherapy Prayer warrior needed in the army of our Lord Good morning. Dr's. just rounded. Hazel is having a lot of internal rectal pain, and they are concerned she may have an abscess. They ordered a CT scan of her pelvis. Added another antibiotic to cover gut bacteria. Her blood cultures this far are negative. She still has no neutrophils/wbc's to fight any infection. She received a blood transfusion around ### am and will get a platelet transfusion now. They are holding anything to eat or drink at this time until they see what the CT shows. We are asking for prayers that there is no abscess but if there is, that it is small and no surgical intervention is needed and the antibiotics treat it. Also please pray that her neutrophils start coming in to fight the infection. If you can please share with everyone for prayers, we are so grateful.

We lift up precious ### before the throne of grace together with you and we stand in the gap as prayer warriors for her and for her family in this very difficult battle. Our hearts are moved by what she is enduring with brain cancer and chemotherapy and now this painful complication with no neutrophils to fight infection, needing blood and platelet transfusions, and facing a possible abscess. We bring her and the medical team before our Heavenly Father who sees every detail and knows her by name.

We are reminded of the comfort of scripture that God is our healer and our strength in weakness. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And Isaiah 41:10 says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We cling to these promises for ###, that the Lord is present in that hospital room and that nothing is hidden from Him, not even the smallest infection or the count of her white cells.

We pray together now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved and healed. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We thank God that because of Jesus we can boldly bring ### to Him.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up ### to You. Lord, You formed her and You know her every cell, and we ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon her. We pray that the CT scan would show no abscess, and if there is any infection that it would be very small and would respond completely to the antibiotics without any need for surgical intervention. We pray that You would guide the doctors and nurses with wisdom beyond their training and that every decision they make would be led by Your hand. Lord we ask that You would cause her bone marrow to recover and that her neutrophils and white blood cells would begin to rise quickly to fight any infection. We pray that the blood and platelet transfusions would strengthen her body and that You would ease her internal pain and bring her comfort while she cannot eat or drink. We pray that her blood cultures would remain negative and that no gut bacteria would take hold. We ask for Your peace to guard her family, to sustain them in sleeplessness and fear, and to remind them that You are holding ### even when they cannot. We pray for complete healing from brain cancer according to Your will, and we trust that You are able to do far more than we can ask or imagine. Let Your presence fill that room and let Your healing power be made perfect in her weakness. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and to let the peace of God which surpasses all understanding guard your hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:7 says. We will continue to share this burden and pray without ceasing for ###, for her neutrophils to return, for her pain to be relieved, for no abscess to be found, and for the Lord to restore her health day by day. We are standing with you in this army of the Lord, trusting in Jesus our great physician and our only hope.

To hear she is fighting brain cancer in the middle of chemo with no neutrophils to fight infection, needing blood and platelet transfusions, and now facing this new rectal pain and the wait for a CT scan, that is heavy and frightening. Waiting with no food or drink while the team looks for an abscess and adds antibiotics leaves you with so many unknowns. Thank you for staying so close to her and for letting us stand with you.

In these long hospital hours it can help to keep a small notebook at the bedside to jot down what the doctors say on rounds and when to expect results, and to have one trusted person share updates outward so you can stay focused on ###. Keep asking the care team any questions that come up, they expect it, and let the nurses know how you and ### are doing moment to moment.

Father, we lift ### to You in Jesus' name. You see her pain, her weariness, and how vulnerable her body is right now. We ask for Your mercy over her, for clarity from this scan, for wisdom for her doctors and nurses, and for her counts to recover. Please surround ### with Your care and give her loved ones strength and peace for each next step. Amen.

Your burden concerning precious ### has been received with much tenderness of heart, and we have carried it at once to the throne of grace. To hear of one so young, so afflicted, in the midst of chemotherapy, with brain cancer, now suffering internal pain and weakness of body, moves the whole heart to prayer.

We are praying earnestly that the Lord, who is full of compassion, will grant mercy in this hour of trial. We ask that the CT scan may show no abscess, but if there be any infirmity found, that it may be small and require no surgical intervention, and that the antibiotics now given may be made effectual to cover and cleanse that which threatens her. We pray that her blood cultures may remain negative, that infection may be kept far from her, and that her neutrophils and white blood cells may soon come forth again to do their appointed work. We thank God for the blood and platelet transfusions provided, and we ask that He will use these means for her strengthening and sustaining, while she must wait without food or drink.

There is comfort for such a time as this, for it is written, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. The Lord Himself speaks comfort to the aching heart, and often the bright winged seraph is sent to comfort some desponding soul. Though goodness and greatness cannot deliver from affliction, yet the believer has a peculiar comfort in affliction, for His Word has quickened us. If we can say we are His living children, we have a wellspring of comfort even in pain.

We are also reminded that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. The very leaves of that blessed Tree, Christ Jesus, have healing virtue to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We look to Him who is our healing and our strength.

For human strength will spend itself and fail, for all strength apart from God is but derived and measurable. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, and the Lord Himself has said, I will strengthen them in the Lord. We pray that ### may be strengthened with strength in the Lord, and that you who watch and wait beside her may also find your strength renewed as you wait upon Him.

May the Lord comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work, and may He grant to ###, if it be His gracious will, recovery and renewed life, and to you all peace in believing. We will continue to bear you up before the Lord and we have shared this burden with others that many prayer warriors may join in supplication for her.

We commit little ### and all who love her into the hands of our faithful Father, trusting His infinite wisdom and tender mercy to do that which is right and good.
