I thought that after my daughter’s wedding last December that my marriage was on the mend. I was wrong. Not only did Chris come home after his first trip of the year to say he still wasn’t happy, I found out from friends that during the last year he has been unfaithful.
This is the 2nd time he has cheated on me. The trust is ultimately broken now and I can forgive him, but I cannot stay married to him.
During the last 6 months Chris moved out, I filed for divorce, and I have moved on with my life, though I really can’t truly move on until the divorce is final. Chris is dragging his feet, not signing the property settlement, coming to get the rest of his things, etc. Every time I think I have experience the biggest lesson in patience, another lesson comes along.
Please continue to pray for me as I do all of you. Pray that I have the patience that HE wants me to have; to believe that HE is in control of my life; to be happy either on my own or with someone if HE sends another man my way; and to be patient with single life.
I don’t look forward to the games that come along with single life. Living through some of my friend’s experiences, I know that single life will bring along its own set of challenges.
I pray that you all are healthy and happy and that God continues to work in your lives! I will keep in touch!
In Him,
Lisa
