HAVE YOU LOST YOUR HOPE?
My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word. Psalm 119:28
On this Lord’s Day are you weary, tired, feel like nothing is happening in your spouse's life? Are you battling against hopelessness, despair and depression? Let me share that God wants you to put all your faith, hope and trust in Him and in His Word, and NOT in all your circumstances! Believe in the power of praise and in God’s Word. Praise defeats the enemy. Never doubt the power of the Word of God. Are you praying at least one or two scriptures with you and your spouse’s name in them daily?
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
Do you realize the power that is in the three scriptures above? Do you understand the challenge that I am giving you to regularly pray specific scriptures with you, your spouse’s and yes, even your children’s names in them? I know that you may feel that you do not have the time, but it may be that you do not have the “desire†or want to open God’s Word or even pray earnestly or fervently anymore. You may even be mad at God for not answering your prayers more quickly. God knows your heart, but cry out and talk to Him. Tell Him your fears. If you have stopped praying and reading God’s Word, that is an attack from the enemy for you to give up on your marriage and for you to be deceived also. The Lord created you to have a personal relationship with Him every day.
Are you still putting the Armor of God on you, your spouse and family daily? You must get dressed for work and never forget to get dressed with God's weapons on you and your family to protect you from the evil one. The reason you are being attacked is that you are walking with your Lord on the narrow road of righteousness. God does not guarantee no suffering in our lives.
I understand your fears. I know you have a broken heart and crushed spirit with many tears flowing down your face. We know the pain, the sorrow and the heartache that you are battling against. That is why I love to teach you how to pray prayers using scriptures that may say:
O LORD, come quickly to me, Hear my voice when I call to you...I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy. I pour out my complaint before him; before him I tell my trouble...Answer me quickly, O LORD; my spirit fails...Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your Good Spirit lead me and my spouse on level ground. For your name’s sake, O LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring us out of trouble. Amen.

May I encourage you to pray and read God’s Word daily. Ask the Lord to open your spiritual eyes, your ears, and your heart to receive His message just for you every day. I opened my Bible up this morning and I saw the scripture at the top of the devotional in Psalm 119. What a promise for you and me today. I personally could not make it without the Lord and His Word.
Do you love the Lord? Do you believe that the Lord is hearing your sobbing and prayers? Yes, He is right there with you, but so is the enemy who is trying to defeat you with his fiery darts every day. The enemy is speaking hopelessness, defeat and discouragement. Those feelings are not from the Lord. We receive strength, hope, trust and faith while we wait knowing that God can move all our mountains of circumstances in His perfect timing.
May you praise the Lord for His faithfulness in delivering you and your spouse from the traps of the enemy. We hear over and over again, how the Lord has touched you, the stander, and after that you never want to go back to where you have been. So there is already victory in your heart by you being touched and changed radically by the power of the Holy Spirit. Now you must seek the Lord daily, praying and fasting for the Lord to touch, rescue and radically change your spouse from Satan’s tricks, lies, schemes and traps. Never forget that with God, nothing is too hard for Him.
I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3
Are you ready to have your spouse come home suddenly? You must notify the enemy that you will not live in “Woe is me!†or “The enemy keeps attacking me†mode. You must choose to praise the Lord in the midst of your circumstances. Then the Lord will increase your strength and give you hope, faith and trust in His mighty power.
The scripture below is for you today! I pray you will memorize a few verses put them on index cards around your house and even in your car until you have the strength and hope that you need to stand firm forever for the restoration of your marriage.
“To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?†says the Holy One. Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God� Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:25-31
Let us pray for a mighty harvest of souls being drawn to the Lord this Sunday. Please pray for the men of God who have and are proclaiming the Gospel around the world throughout this weekend. May sinners’ hearts, lives and marriages be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Now put all your hope in God only!
