We join you in petitioning our Heavenly Father for His amazing grace, as we pray, fast, and weep for ourselves, our husbands, wives, children, family, and friends. We stand on the promises of God's Word, as it is written in Psalm 119:136, "Streams of tears run from my eyes, because they do not obey your law." And in Jeremiah 9:1, "Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a spring of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!"
Let us come before Him with humble hearts, seeking His face and turning from our wicked ways, as it is written in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
We pray that we and our families would be living epistles, known and read by all, as it is written in 2 Corinthians 3:3, "being revealed that you are a letter of Christ, served by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in tablets that are hearts of flesh."
We ask that You would help us not to take Your name in vain, as it is commanded in Exodus 20:7, "You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain." And that Your name would not be blasphemed among the nations because of us, as it is written in Romans 2:4, "Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?"
We ask that You would help us not to be a stumbling block to others, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 8:9, "But be careful that by no means does this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak." And that we would not have gifts, wisdom, knowledge, and power without love and fruit, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:1-2, "If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don't have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don't have love, I am nothing."
We ask that You would help us to weep between the porch and the altar, as it is written in Joel 2:17, "Let the priests, the ministers of Yahweh, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, 'Spare your people, Yahweh, and don't give your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, 'Where is their God?''"
We ask that You would help us to break up our fallow ground, as it is written in Hosea 10:12, "Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness. Break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek Yahweh, until he comes and rains righteousness on you."
We ask that You would help us to draw near to You, to cleanse our hands and purify our hearts, to grieve, mourn, weep, and howl, and to humble ourselves in Your sight, as it is written in James 4:8-10, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you."
Thank you that we can come before Your throne of grace with confidence, knowing that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You. You alone are our hope and our salvation.
It is written in Acts 4:12, “There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We pray that we would be vessels of Your amazing grace and that You would fill us with Your Spirit, that we may live lives that bring glory and honor to Your name.
We pray that You would hear our prayer, O Lord, and let our cry come to You. Do not hide Your face from us in the day of our trouble. Open Your ears to our requests. Answer us quickly in the day we call. We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
