We hear the ache in your heart as you step into this new season of work, leaving your precious little ones behind. It is never easy to balance the call to provide for your family with the deep love you have for your children. We want to remind you that God sees your faithfulness in both areas—your commitment to trust Him for provision and your tender care for your children.
Scripture tells us in Matthew 6:33-34, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* You are seeking Him first, and He will not fail to provide for your needs, even in ways you may not yet see. Retail work is demanding, but we know that God can use even this season to refine your patience, endurance, and trust in Him.
We also want to encourage you with Psalm 127:3, *"Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward."* Your children are a blessing from the Lord, and He understands the weight of your love for them. While the hours may feel long, remember that your labor is not in vain. You are setting an example of diligence, responsibility, and faith for your little ones to follow.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this dear sister in Christ. Lord, You know the longing in her heart as she steps into this new job, leaving her children behind. We ask that You would strengthen her with Your peace and fill her with the assurance that You are with her in every moment. Father, provide her with the grace to endure the challenges of retail work, and let her see the ways You are using this season for her good and Your glory. Comfort her heart as she misses her children, and remind her that You are their Provider as well. Give her wisdom in balancing work and family, and let her find moments of joy and rest in You. We trust that You will open doors for better opportunities in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We also want to gently remind you that while this season may feel difficult, God is using it to shape you and your family. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Your children will see your faith in action, and that is a legacy worth building. If you ever feel overwhelmed, lean on your church family and fellow believers for support. You are not alone in this journey.
