Hard spiritual warfare

I've been sinning hard lately. Like, hard. It's been really difficult for me, especially with the start of my new school and other experiences. I barely have time for God, even though I still try to give Him some, I'm just so tired and unmotivated. I'm out of a dry season, and as soon as I felt my passion again, I got hit with this. I don't know what to do. I'm trying my best. I'm barely holding on. I don't know where I'm going. I still trust Him. But I'm stuck in my head, questions are flooding without stopping. Please help. In Jesus name, amen.

We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The fact that you are crying out to God in the midst of this spiritual battle shows that the Holy Spirit is still at work in you, convicting and calling you back to Him. This is not a time for condemnation but for repentance, renewal, and restoration. You have acknowledged your sin, and that is the first step toward freedom. Let us remind you of what Scripture says in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Your Heavenly Father is waiting with open arms to forgive you and restore you—all you must do is turn to Him in sincere repentance.

The enemy is fiercely attacking you because you are a child of God, and he wants nothing more than to keep you bound in shame, exhaustion, and doubt. But take heart, for Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33). This season of spiritual warfare is not a sign of God’s absence but an indication that you are in a battle for your faith, your purpose, and your intimacy with Christ. The fact that you feel the weight of your sin so heavily is evidence that God has not abandoned you—He is drawing you closer to Himself.

You mentioned that you barely have time for God, and we understand the demands of a new school and life’s pressures. But let us gently remind you that time with God is not just another task to check off—it is your lifeline. Jesus said in John 15:5, *"For apart from me, you can do nothing."* When you feel tired and unmotivated, that is often a sign that you are trying to operate in your own strength rather than abiding in Him. Even in the busiest seasons, we must prioritize our relationship with Christ, for He is the source of our strength, wisdom, and peace. Remember what Jesus told Martha in Luke 10:41-42: *"Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her."*

You also shared that you are stuck in your head, flooded with questions. This is a tactic of the enemy—to overwhelm you with doubt and confusion. But God’s Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:5 to *"bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* When the questions and doubts arise, take them captive by speaking the truth of God’s Word over them. Replace the lies with Scripture. For example, if you are questioning God’s love for you, declare Romans 8:38-39: *"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."*

We also want to encourage you to seek accountability and support from mature believers. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* You do not have to walk through this alone. Find a brother or sister in Christ who can pray with you, encourage you, and help you stay grounded in the Word.

Lastly, we want to address the weariness you feel. Jesus invites you in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Rest is not found in escaping your responsibilities or numbing your pain but in surrendering fully to Jesus. He is your Sabbath rest, your peace in the storm. When you feel like you are barely holding on, that is the perfect time to let go and let God hold you.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is in the midst of a fierce spiritual battle. Lord, we thank You that You are faithful even when we are faithless, and that Your mercy is new every morning. We confess the sins that have been weighing heavily on their heart, and we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Wash them anew, Lord, and restore the joy of Your salvation within them.

Father, we rebuke the schemes of the enemy that have sought to overwhelm them with shame, exhaustion, and doubt. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and renew their strength so that they may mount up with wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

Lord, we ask that You help them to prioritize their time with You above all else. Give them a hunger and thirst for Your Word and a deep desire for prayer. Remove the distractions and the lies that have kept them from abiding in You. Surround them with godly brothers and sisters who can lift them up in prayer and hold them accountable.

Father, we pray for clarity and peace to replace the flood of questions and doubts in their mind. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Remind them of Your unfailing love and Your promises over their life. Let them hear Your voice above all others, speaking truth and life into their spirit.

Lord, we ask that You break the chains of sin that have ensnared them. Set them free by the power of Your blood, Jesus, and restore them to a place of victory. Help them to walk in repentance and in the fullness of Your grace. Strengthen them to resist temptation and to stand firm in Your truth.

We declare that this season of spiritual warfare will not destroy them but will instead refine them and draw them closer to You. Use this time, Lord, to deepen their dependence on You and to prepare them for the purposes You have for their life.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. This battle is not yours to fight alone—God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is your strength, your redeemer, and your hope. You will overcome this by His grace.

We're here for you, friend. We feel your struggle, the weight of sin, and the overwhelming questions. But remember, you're not alone. Jesus is right there with you, fighting for you. He sees your heart, your repentance, and He's ready to forgive and restore.

Let's hold onto this promise together: "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22)

Let's pray:

Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You today. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness, even in the midst of their struggle. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness, for their sins to be washed away, and for Your cleansing power to renew their spirit.

We rebuke the enemy's attacks, Lord. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and renew their strength.

Help them, Lord, to prioritize time with You, to hunger for Your Word, and to desire prayer. Surround them with godly brothers and sisters who can lift them up in prayer and hold them accountable.

Give them clarity, Lord. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Remind them of Your unfailing love and Your promises over their life. Let them hear Your voice above all others, speaking truth and life into their spirit.

Break the chains of sin, Lord. Set them free by the power of Your blood, Jesus. Restore them to a place of victory, strengthen them to resist temptation, and to stand firm in Your truth.

Use this season, Lord, to deepen their dependence on You, to refine them, and to prepare them for the purposes You have for their life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep looking to Jesus, friend. He's got you, and we're here with you, every step of the way.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

🔥 James 2:23 (NLT): And so, it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.
