Harassment

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
A very large group of people has been harassing me under the influence of demons for years. There are certain reasons why this is occurring. The things these people are doing in harassing me are literally crazy and nonsensical and are only harming them in the long run not me. Their behavior is chaotic and doesn't make sense. It's obvious something demonic is behind it and I know for a fact that it is. I am trying to reconcile with these people. Please pray for me about all this and that the demonic behavior would be lifted from these people. Thank you.

We have heard your cry and we are standing with you in prayer over this long and painful season of harassment. We believe you when you say this behavior is chaotic and nonsensical, and we agree with you that what is behind it is spiritual. Scripture tells us our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour 1 Peter 5:8, and he can influence groups of people toward confusion and destruction. Yet we take comfort that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4, and that no weapon formed against you will ultimately prosper when you abide in Christ.

We commend your heart for wanting reconciliation rather than revenge. That desire honors God. We are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us Matthew 5:44, and as much as it is up to us, to be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. At the same time we are told not to be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good Romans 12:21, and not to return evil for evil. Reconciliation is a godly goal, but it requires repentance and deliverance on their part, and wisdom and boundaries on your part. We encourage you to continue to walk in forgiveness while also seeking wise godly counsel, staying rooted in fellowship with other believers, and putting on the whole armor of God each day with truth, righteousness, the preparation of the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God and prayer Ephesians 6:11-18. We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, to fast as the Lord leads, and to resist the devil by submitting yourself to God, for then he will flee from you James 4:7. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and He promises to be your refuge and fortress Psalm 91:2.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and authority over the enemy. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by the name of Jesus that demons must flee and that our prayers are heard, for He has given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy Luke 10:19. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation Romans 10:9-10. It is that personal faith in Jesus that secures your protection, your peace, and your deliverance.

We now join together and bring you and those who have harassed you before the throne of grace.

We pray, Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, that You would surround our brother with Your presence and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard his heart and mind Philippians 4:7. We ask that You would lift the demonic influence and confusion from this large group of people, that You would open their eyes to the harm they are doing to themselves and to others, and that You would bring conviction, repentance, and deliverance among them. We rebuke every spirit of harassment, chaos, and oppression that has operated against our brother, and we command it to leave in Jesus name, for You have given us power over all the power of the enemy. We pray that You would break every chain and bring freedom to those who are captive to the enemy's lies 2 Corinthians 10:4. We ask that You would be faithful to guard our brother from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3, that You would vindicate him and deliver him from every evil work Psalm 34:17, and that You would make a way for true and godly reconciliation where it is Your will, or grant him release and peace if they continue to refuse. Fill him with courage, endurance, and love, and let him overcome evil with good. Draw all involved to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, that they may know Your forgiveness and walk in newness of life. We trust You to work all things for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We have read your request and we hear how wearing these last years have felt. When things around you seem chaotic and nonsensical, it is exhausting to stay steady, and it says a lot about your heart that even in that strain you are wanting to move toward reconciliation.

Carrying this kind of ongoing stress alone can be very heavy, so we would encourage you not to walk through it by yourself. One steady step that often helps is to invite a trusted pastor or mature believer who knows you well to walk closely with you in this season. Someone at your side can help you think through what wise, healthy reconciliation might look like, what boundaries are needed to protect your peace and dignity, and how to stay cared for and grounded while you navigate next steps. If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out right away to people you trust nearby for support.

We are praying for your protection and for clear wisdom in each interaction, and for the others involved as well, that God would work in their hearts and bring what is needed for real change.

Father, we lift this one to You now. Cover them with Your peace and guard their heart and mind in Christ. Give wisdom for every conversation and decision, lead them in Your will, and bring healing where there has been hurt and calm where there has been confusion. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been heard and it is taken before the Lord with sincere care. To endure harassment for years from a large group, to see behavior that is chaotic and senseless and harmful even to those who practice it, is a heavy trial. That you discern a spiritual power behind it and yet desire reconciliation rather than revenge is a mark of grace at work in you, and we thank you for sharing this burden so that we may bear it with you in prayer.

We want you to know that deliverance is of the Lord. He is not deaf to the cries of His people, and what He does for deliverance He does effectually. As you have read, Egypt may represent those states of sorrow and oppression into which the people of God too often come, but the Lord Himself brings His people forth. That deliverance came when the lamb was slain, and so our hope is not in our own strength or wisdom but in the ransom which God Himself has found. He has said, I have found a ransom, and therefore the deliverance of those who trust Him is certain, for it rests upon His own provision in Christ. The same God who delivers from the guilt of sin also delivers from the power of darkness, for we look to our heavenly Father alone for both justification and sanctification. Rest your soul upon Him, and He will yet come to your deliverance in His time and way.

Your longing for reconciliation is pleasing to the God of Peace. He has prepared everything that is necessary for a perfect reconciliation and He was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them. He has committed unto us the word of reconciliation, so that we speak not of a way we have invented but of what God Himself has written and accomplished. We can pray for reconciliation because we know the joy of being at peace with God through Jesus Christ. At the same time, true reconciliation is worked by the power of the Holy Spirit and calls for truth and repentance. As with Jacob at the brook Jabbok, who prayed for deliverance from one he feared and then found his brother fall upon his neck and kiss him, so the Lord is able to turn hearts in a way we cannot foresee. We pray that He would do such a work here, and we encourage you to walk in that ministry of reconciliation with wisdom, with the counsel and covering of faithful pastors or elders, and with clear and godly boundaries. Love for enemies and prayer for those who oppose us does not require you to remain exposed to harm. If you are unsafe, seek the help of your church family and, where needed, the proper authorities, while you continue to overcome evil with good.

Let us pray together.

O Lord, our Deliverer, we bring this dear one before Your throne of grace. You see the years of harassment, the confusion and chaos, and the weariness it has brought. We ask that You would be a refuge and a strong tower, that You would guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus and grant daily peace. We ask that You would rebuke every influence of darkness at work in those who harass, that You would lift that bondage from them and bring them to see the error of their way. Have mercy upon them, open their eyes to the truth of the gospel, and grant them repentance and faith in Your Son who bore the penalty for sinners. We pray for a work of reconciliation according to Your will, that where it is possible and wise, peace would be restored, and that bitterness would give way to the peace which You alone can give. Give Your child wisdom to know how to respond, courage to do what is right, and comfort in the knowledge that You chasten only in love and that You will not allow Your people to be crushed. May this trial become a testimony, that whether deliverance comes suddenly or through many tears, this soul may yet live and declare the works of the Lord. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our ransom and our peace. Amen.

Continue to look to Christ, to His Word, and to His people. Keep bringing your griefs to the Lord who hears, keep praying for those who have set themselves against you that God would save them, and keep declaring what He has done and will do. He who brought Israel forth with a mighty hand is still mighty to save, and His grace is sufficient for you day by day.
