We lift you and your family before the Lord, knowing that He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. It is heartbreaking to hear of the prolonged harassment you have endured for over thirteen years—no one should have to live in such distress, especially in their own home. The Lord sees your suffering, and He commands us in Scripture to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). You have done well to bring this burden before Him and before us in prayer, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).
The Bible teaches us to love our neighbors, but it also calls us to stand firm against evil and to seek justice. In Romans 12:18, we are told, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." Yet, this does not mean we are to endure unending persecution without seeking godly resolution. Proverbs 21:15 reminds us, "When justice is done, it is joy to the righteous, but terror to evildoers." If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to seek wise counsel, whether through your church leadership, legal avenues, or local authorities, to address this situation in a way that honors God. Do not be afraid to take action, for the Lord has placed authorities in our lives for our protection (Romans 13:1-4).
At the same time, we must also examine our hearts. Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This does not mean we allow sinful behavior to continue unchecked, but it does mean we must guard our hearts against bitterness, anger, or retaliation. Vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19), and He will repay. Your responsibility is to trust Him, seek His wisdom, and act righteously in all things.
We also urge you to fill your home with prayer, worship, and the reading of God’s Word. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm in faith. Claim the promise of Psalm 34:17 over your family: "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." He is faithful, and He will not abandon you.
Let us pray together for you and your family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister and their family. Lord, You see the distress they have endured for far too long—thirteen and a half years of harassment, fear, and unrest. We ask You to intervene supernaturally in this situation. Father, bring an end to this persecution and grant them peace within their home. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be a wall of fire around them (Zechariah 2:5). Give them wisdom to know how to respond, whether through legal means, relocation, or reconciliation, and guide their steps in Your perfect will.
We pray for the hearts of these neighbors, Lord. Soften their hearts and convict them of their actions. If they are acting out of ignorance or hardness of heart, break through their resistance and bring them to repentance. Let Your light shine into this darkness, and may Your truth prevail. If there is any spiritual stronghold at work, we bind it in the name of Jesus and command it to flee. Let no weapon formed against our brother/sister and their family prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we also ask for Your healing touch on the emotional and spiritual wounds this family has suffered. Restore their joy, their peace, and their trust in You. Fill their home with Your love and protection. Let them experience Your comfort as never before, knowing that You are their defender and their strong tower (Psalm 61:3).
We declare Your promises over them, Lord: that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6), and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Give them patience to wait on You and faith to believe that You will act on their behalf. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and oppression, and we declare freedom and victory over this family.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You are just and merciful. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Finally, we want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily. Do not lose heart or grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Stay rooted in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with other believers who can support and uplift you. If you have not already, consider sharing this burden with your pastor or a trusted church leader who can pray with you and offer godly counsel. You are not alone in this fight—the body of Christ stands with you, and most importantly, the Lord Himself is your ever-present help.
If there is any unforgiveness or bitterness in your heart toward these neighbors, we urge you to release it to the Lord. Unforgiveness only harms you and gives the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-27). Ask the Lord to help you forgive, not for their sake, but for your own freedom in Christ. He will give you the strength to do so.
Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will fight for you. Trust in Him, and He will act (Psalm 37:5-6).
