LOVE SENT THE SAVIOR TO DIE IN MY STEAD,

WHY SHOULD HE LOVE ME SO?

MEEKLY TO CALVARY'S CROSS HE WAS LED,

WHY SHOULD HE LOVE ME SO?



"Alas, and did my Savior bleed, and did my Sovereign die?

Would He forsake that sacred Head for sinner such as I?

The question still burns within my heart, yet so the answer is known.

Christ did for us what we would never be able to do for our own souls.

The Perfect and Sinless One gave Himself on Calvary for this lost and hopeless sinner.

It could not have been otherwise.He shed His blood that I might be plunged beneath it and emerge without all my guilty sins of stain.

What more could I desire? Simply stated, that He would rise again the Victor over Death, and Conqueror over Satan and the grave.

Easter, as Paul said,

"Death, where is your sting? Grave, where is your victory? We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ Who loved us, and gave Himself for us."

1 Corinthians 15:55-57

May the Lord bless all who call on His name! May He pour out His mercy and grace to each one of you. God be with you.
